“Strategy without tactics is the longest road to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat”
With this at the back of your mind you’re destined for absolute success. Whilst! The Grace of God at the forefront.
Friends, the nation we call Uganda is no more. In its place is some other land mass - a place where lawlessness, impunity & disregard for human rights is the order of the day.
There is no functional constitution & there is no rule of law anymore. The Executive, Judiciary & Legislature have conspired to hand over our country to a power-hungry junta that will abduct & torture you if you so much as breathe in a manner they don't deem fit.
It is as clear as daylight that we are on our own.
Cry the Beloved Country!
Thousands of Ugandans have excelled globally, serving in institutions such as the armed forces, diplomacy, science, technology, and public service of other nations. Their achievements reflect the talent, resilience, and potential of our people. Rather than engaging in petty politics and distractions, we should focus on creating conditions that attract this wealth of experience, skills, and investment back home. Where the law provides guidance on citizenship and public service, let it be applied fairly, consistently, and without political bias. Uganda’s development will be accelerated by harnessing the expertise of its diaspora and fostering national unity. The real conversation should be about building a prosperous nation that inspires Ugandans everywhere to contribute meaningfully to its future.

At the evening session of #POATE2026 side meeting, @TourismBoardUg UTB CEO @JulzKagwa called for customized tourism storytelling, digital innovation, and stronger collaboration between Uganda’s Missions Abroad and tourism stakeholders to position Uganda competitively in the global tourism market. #VisitUganda #ExploreUganda #EconomicandCommercialDiplomacy #POATE2026
For nearly 5 yrs, over 60 Ugandan local contractors & suppliers who helped lay the foundation for @TotalEnergiesUG Tilenga oil field have waited for payment totaling close to $10 million.
Behind these numbers are businesses that borrowed heavily, families that depended on those incomes, employees who lost jobs, and entrepreneurs whose dreams slowly collapsed under debt and silence.
Some of the very people who believed in Uganda’s oil promise may never live to witness first oil.
When people speak of the "oil curse", they often imagine distant theories.
For these companies, it has already been painfully real.

anita among's greatest sin is not the misappropriation of public funds
it is the public consumption of 'em
the vulgar display of accumulation
the transformation of corruption from a concealed vice into a performative lifestyle
those who've been around know how deeply filthy and compromised the entire kampala establishment has always been
hers is not an isolated moral collapse
it is simply corruption stripped of discretion
and that is what the establishment cannot forgive
her impendin' downfall will not signal the end of corruption or the beginnin' of an actual, serious fight against it
it'll instead serve as a warnin' to newcomers to return to the good ol' doctrine that has governed the system for decades:
steal quietly
embezzle intelligently
loot modestly
steal gavi funds, but drive a passo, not a rolls royce or mercedes benz
grab temangalo land, but build a modest house, not a 100-bedroom arcade
fleece chogm money, but don't construct a hospital and immortalize our names on the wards
buy junk helicopters, but don't acquire prime property across kampala alone, because we also want access to 'em
in other words:
be like us, naye totulabisa
participate in the system, but do not expose the scale of greed behind it
because the establishment has never truly been offended by corruption itself
it is offended when greed becomes too visible, too concentrated, too arrogant
when one person begins to consume publicly what was historically distributed quietly among the few, morality becomes selective
not a principled rejection of theft, but an internal quarrel over proportions, visibility and access to privilege

Straight from the swearing in ceremony, I dashed to luwero to flag-off the inaugural export of 104 metric tonnes of canned ( processed ) pineapples to China by DESHIBURG company, one of the investors in the Uganda-China Agriculture Cooperation industrial park.
Deshiburg company is the first investor to set up a dedicated canned pineapple factory in uganda with capacity to process 500 tonne per day. This increases the demand for pineapples as a raw material and ends the perennial challenge of lack of market for our perishable Agriculture produce. It places a challenge to our farmers to produce more for this demand.
I have made a clarion call to the local political leaders & Agriculture extension personnel, to mobilise & guide our farmers to start intentional farming:- farming that targets to meet existing demand of a particular agro-raw material sustainably. This huge proliferation of agro-industries speaks to farmers only one message; produce, produce and produce more! The excuses of no markets for Agricultural produce is no more with this revolution of agro-industrialisation !
Produce for own food , produce for the market ( domestic, regional and international ) and please do so following the acceptable standards, was my message to the farmers!
Justin Nameere, ever the erratic mind, says the Rolls-Royce was a gift from Anita Among's foreign friends.
The other week, Among presided over the passing of the Sovereignty bill.
It would be poetically ironic if the state used the new law to claim Among as its first victim.
Be thankful for the small achievements in your life.
Don't live another person's life.
Run your race. It is fulfilling.
Be patient. Your reward will come.
Yesterday NTV Solomon Kawesa did a brief documentary on Museveni, he started off well and for a brief moment I liked mzee but when he said, “Naye era omulungi tabulako kamogo” I knew it was time for real tea. He unapologetically called a spade a spade. NTV we appreciate what you do for public. You’re the real gumitte
