2/5 Rebecca gave Peter a mood board and they discussed, at length, the colour palette and feeling the film should have. One of the characteristics of Rebecca’s work is strong art direction and as always she had very clear ideas on the over all look she wanted to create...

3/5 So they spent a lot of time figuring out the best way to achieve the desired aesthetic and grade of the picture. References included #TomFord’s #ASingleMan and #ToddHaynes’ #Carol amongst other things.

4/5 Peter took plenty of reference photos on their recces and experimented with different grades and LUTs before the pair settled on a look. In short this was a soft autumnal colour palette with lifted blacks and a retro 90s aura to the picture.
