@BenSmithso92914@TheGillsFC Oh come off it, enough with this conspiracy theory that we specifically buy injury prone players. Why would we do that? Why? His foot got stuck in the turf as another player slid into him. Accidents happen.
@GillsInTheBlood Unfortunately too many fans thesedays default into conspiracy mode whether they have factual information or not. If a player is not fit enough, then that's all we need to know. They can only give estimates as to when they may return, there are no guarantees.
@whatdatasaid@RubyQNUFC@andyburnham It's an FA ruling not UK Law, a ruling that only applies on Saturday 3.00pm kick off, except when its not. What difference does it make to a lower league EFL club supporter to show their games at 3.00pm because England are playing on the TV later? Just show them all the time.
@GillsInTheBlood I'm surprised Max Clarke didn't make that list given how many times some fans slagged him off.
Mind you...maybe it was just one guy who was obsessed with him?
@GillsInTheBlood We put a team without any recognised full backs and our main CB serving a suspension against a more than decent League 1 side. Some fans need to manager their expectations before righting us off for a season that hasn't even started.
@EastleighFC Didn't really get much of run in the side with Gills. Signed by an interim manager at the time, and got injured just when he looks like getting some games under Ainsworth. Tries hard, not particularly skilled at anything far as I could tell.
@GillsInTheBlood I just think he needed another season with Gills to develop his game. He's an excellent marker, big heart and good pace. But he still need to work on other aspects of his game. His long (and some short) passing is poor, his strength in the air is okay..ish
@BarnsleyFC Sad to see him go. Very good player, great pace, big hearted player and future captain material Needs to work on passing and distribution and he'll big pushing even higher.
@wokingfc Good luck to him. When he was good, he was very good. He just needs to stop letting mistakes affect his game for the rest of the match. If he can keep his head right, you have a real beast of a defender with genuine pace.
@GillsInTheBlood I find it's the younger fans that struggle with the lack of silverware. The first world cups I watched was 1974, then 1978, we weren't in either of them. I had to wait until 1982 before seeing England play in one. We have a decent record these days. So enjoy it.
@GillsInTheBlood I think the signings so far are pretty sound. Ainsworth seems to have targeted players that are more comfortable on the ball and some leadership in defence (Gordon). Last season we had too many players being wasteful in possession, hopefully this will improve.
@officialgtfc Big disappointment at Gills I'm afraid. For a big lad he should be bullying defenders, but he seems more preoccupied with trying to win free kicks. It's almost as if he's not interested in trying to score as he would rather head the ball back across goal instead of at the target
@tonywoodrow12 I still think we will be quite direct next season. But whatever style we play, we still need to look after and use possession properly. One of my biggest gripes last season was the number of times we gave the ball away. Team don't even have to try and get the ball off us.
