What a joy to be back home with @NC_ACDA the past two days. Grateful for the opportunity to present on inclusive pedagogy, and always thankful to see old friends.
I grew up in public schools and returned to my district to teach for seven years. I had a plan. I was prepared to die for my students. Teachers should receive hazard pay until politicians are willing to serve our childrens' best interests by passing sensible gun reform.

It's Neurodiversity Celebration Week! Working on the intro to my dissertation prospectus. Music has done wonders for my ADD brain. There is no better time to advocate for better pedagogy, assistive technology, and representation in music education.
Emily Williams Burch is back. What makes us tick? Can we be collegial without knowing each other? What was it like for me to traipse around uninvited at Southern ACDA? Why do in person conventions matter so much? These and many more questions answered! https://t.co/FOhL9IYu98
Working in the Choral Library; we share space with the Instrumental Library and thus their GAs. Just heard someone on their side say, “Lord, make me a bird, so I can fly far, far away” in case anyone was wondering how we’re doing post-Spring Break.
Another great day, this time at Forestview High with @stone_cold08. Wonderful groups and good sight readers too. Shout-out to @gracemcutchin for her enduring decor. @ Forestview High School https://t.co/2PtVoSr0CI
