I have called your call centre and used the support chat numerous times and even visited your branch. All I get is promises of help but no actual assistance. Please will you escalate this?
@rainSouthAfrica Hello, I recently cancelled my Rain service and am trying to port my mobile number from Rain to my new service provider. It seems Rain needs to “release” my number so it is available to port in.
I can end without a rant about the @virginactiveSA app. It is quite possibly the worst piece of commercial software I have ever seen. Nearly two years after the launch of the "new" app it is still full of bugs. As a former software developer myself, it is an embarrassment...
.@virginactiveSA So with the new (for me) X rule that I cannot DM anyone who does not follow me, and being unwilling to pay X for a Premium membership, I have no choice but to make my message "public".
Otherwise my 8 AM membership effectively becomes a 9 AM membership. Of course another possibility is for the gym management/instructors to change the class start times to 8:15, but that will likely annoy full-price members.
If I had decision-making authority at VA, I think I would give 15 mins leeway at either end of the times to permit members to enter and exit classes that start or end on the hour.
However, the effect is I cannot attend an 8 AM class because I can't enter, even at 7:55, to drop my gear off in the locker room. I guess I can just arrive at my classes late and disrespect the instructor and the other class participants.
So to my issue. This week @virginactiveSA has decided, for the first time in my two years of membership, to strictly enforced the off-peak membership times. Fair enough. I pay less for fewer privileges.
.@virginactiveSA I rarely turn to social media to complain, but REALLY, your app is probably the worst I have ever experienced. And this is many months after the new version was launched. As an IT veteran I cringe for your product development team and your management. I feel sad.
