Sid Seixeiro went off on NHL Network’s center rankings after Auston Matthews was placed ahead of Nick Suzuki. 👀
After Suzuki recorded 100 points, won the Selke Trophy and led Montreal as captain, Seixeiro argued there’s no justification for ranking Matthews above him right now:
“NHL Network has put Auston Matthews eighth—behind Sidney Crosby and in front of Nick Suzuki and Jack Hughes.
The Nick Suzuki move has gotten people in Montreal a little upset.
Nick Suzuki is a healthier player than Auston Matthews. Yes.
Nick Suzuki, having won the Selke Trophy, is a better defensive center than Auston Matthews. Yeah.
Nick Suzuki had 100 points last season. Did Matthews? Nope.
In what world is Auston Matthews, right now, a better center than Nick Suzuki? Someone explain that to me.
He’s slower. He’s more injury-prone. He’s worse defensively. He’s worse offensively.
What am I missing on this?
Nick Suzuki, I believe, is like the third center ever to have a 100-point season and win the Selke—like Fedorov and Doug Gilmour.
That list is a massive insult to Nick Suzuki. Definitely.
If I’m Kent Hughes, I’m fine with this…piss him off more, guys.
Piss off Nick Suzuki more. Go ahead, knock yourself out.
Auston Matthews—not by one bit would any of us deem him, at this point right now, a better hockey player than Nick Suzuki. That is asinine.
And he’s a better captain.”

Applications covering up to ~8 GW of new nuclear capacity in Sweden 🚀
Only a few months ago, I made a post about applications for up to ~5 GW of new nuclear capacity in Sweden.
Well, I already need to update the map.
Since then, Nordic Baseload Power has applied for site approval and state support for 2.5 GW of new nuclear at Barsebäck, several of the projects from my original post have moved further ahead, and yesterday Blykalla submitted an application for a second reactor park in Sweden.
There are now six proposed sites in Sweden:
1️⃣ Videberg Kraft has applied for state aid for new nuclear at Ringhals. Since my last post, Rolls-Royce SMR has been selected as supplier, with the project now planned around three 470 MW reactors with a combined capacity of 1.4 GW. The Swedish state has also decided to become a 60% owner of Videberg Kraft, alongside Vattenfall and Industrikraft Sverige with 20% each.
2️⃣ Kärnfull Next – a Studsvik company has applied for site approval in Valdemarsvik. The plan covers 4-6 SMRs with a total capacity of around 1.2-1.6 GW.
3️⃣ Blykalla has applied for both site approval and state support for its project in Norrsundet, Gävle. The project consists of six SEALER-55 reactors with a total capacity of 330 MW.
4️⃣ Studsvik has applied for site approval at its existing site in Nyköping, covering 2-4 light-water reactors with a total capacity of around 0.6-1.4 GW. The Nyköping project is also included in Studsvik’s state-aid application, which covers both Nyköping and Valdemarsvik.
5️⃣ Nordic Baseload Power AB has applied for site approval and state aid for two large-scale boiling water reactors at Barsebäck in Southern Sweden, with a combined capacity of around 2.5 GW.
6️⃣ Blykalla has submitted an application for a second reactor park at Untra in the Tierp municipality. The project consists of eight SEALER reactors with a combined capacity of 440 MW.
The ~8 GW figure is the maximum capacity covered across the six proposed sites, so it does not mean that all 8 GW will necessarily be built.
But Sweden has gone from reopening the door for new nuclear to having several companies developing projects across six different sites, using both conventional light-water reactors and advanced reactor technologies.
💥 $NXE NexGen #uranium delivers another strong PCE 🇨🇦 update:
• High-grade subdomain vertical extent expanded +17% to 644 m (now to 930 m depth)
• Best two holes of 2026 (RK-26-290c1 = best ever at PCE on cumulative >61k cps)
• Strong continuity confirmed
• Adding a 5th drill rig
Mineralization still open in most directions. Pure exploration upside next to Arrow.

The global nuclear buildout continues to strengthen the long-term outlook for uranium ⚛️
With around 80 reactors currently under construction across 15 countries and another 120 reactors planned, global nuclear capacity is positioned for continued growth.
As reactor fleets expand, the need for secure, long-term uranium supply remains increasingly important.
With one of the largest exploration project portfolios in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin, Skyharbour is well positioned in one of the world's premier uranium jurisdictions.

@thejefflutz The same companies operate across North America and will be significantly harmed. It is not only a Canadian threat, it is a threat to the entire industry.
It’s official: Ontario’s new advertising campaign in the U.S. has launched.

@BMO’s Max Yerrill joined @BNNBloomberg to discuss @Energy_Fuels’ large-scale and ambitious growth plan listing it with an outperform rating.
Yerrill positioned the company’s recent strategic acquisitions as “milestones that de-risk much of the operational scale-up risk that many of the #rareearth peers will face as they start to produce magnets.”
Although an active and ongoing leader in domestic #Uranium production, the company will ramp up production and solidify acquisition deals by early 2027, positioning the company as a fully integrated mine-to-magnet producer with full control over its supply chain. “Uranium is the near-term driver, but rare earths is there for the company’s long-term growth.”
Yerrill stated that the recent VAC acquisition agreement is at the center of Energy Fuels recent investment thesis, stating that this shift comes as the West looks at reducing reliance on China as part of a “huge push for deglobalization and localizing supply chains.”

A French writer explained the error in 1850. A Nobel economist repeated it in a Pennsylvania lecture hall in 1978. Governments still make it every year. Almost nobody watches the clip.
This is Milton Friedman on the parable of the broken window, the oldest mistake in economics.
The trick is that the destruction is visible and the cost is not. You see the glazier get paid. You never see what the shopkeeper would have bought instead.
Watch how he sets it up before he names the fallacy. He lets the audience agree with the wrong answer first.
