Except that that this is Marseille, not Paris and not June 14th. The famous 'weeping Frenchman' (Jerôme Barzetti) is ,in fact, lamenting the removal of the regimental flags of the French army from Marseille to Algeria in Sept 1940. A still taken from a video recording.
