🏴 To all the people of Scotland - whether you voted for me or not - please know that being your First Minister has been the privilege of my life.
Nothing - absolutely nothing - I do in future will ever come close.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
A great turnout today to say farewell to one of the very best people, Allan Angus.
Allan was an @theSNP stalwart, dancer extraordinaire and an all round good guy.
All the best Allan and I hope that there is MacAllan on tap and ceilidh dancing galore wherever you are.
So sad that this @theSNP legend and my dear friend - one of my favourite people in the world - has left us. Allan Angus lit up every room and always made me smile. Despite his frailty, he was determined to be at our conference last year & I’m so glad he made it. I’ll miss him 💛
You can watch @lewis_goodall's full interview with @NicolaSturgeon exclusively on @GlobalPlayer.
They discuss her Gender Recognition Reform Bill, Keir Starmer, and whether the SNP leader prefers @maitlis or @jonsopel...

As many are saying from across the political divide, the use of a s35 order is outrageous & a political decision. The GRR bill has overwhelmingly support from members of all parties & we will take whatever steps we can to ensure the democratic will of the @ScotParl is respected.
Summary of my views on UK gov attempt to veto @ScotParl decisions - covers both the attempt to block this particular piece of legislation (passed by a substantial majority, inc MSPs from all parties) and the very significant wider issue of principle .
This is a full-frontal attack on our democratically elected Scottish Parliament and it's ability to make it's own decisions on devolved matters. @scotgov will defend the legislation & stand up for Scotland’s Parliament. If this Westminster veto succeeds, it will be first of many
🏴 The SNP’s NEC has unanimously agreed the wording of a draft resolution to be debated at our Special Democracy Conference in March.

Delighted GMB, RCM & RCN who were in dispute with ScotGovt around 22/23 pay deal have agreed to pause industrial action, after constructive talks yday. We've collectively agreed to pace around next year's pay deal, I have offered to meet next week to get discussions underway.
Reminder ambulance strikes today are in England & Wales only, not in Scotland. If you have medical emergency then do call 999. If not an emergency but you need medical advice then you can call your GP, NHS 24, Pharmacy First and other avenues available to provide support & advice
I welcome Scotland’s new law #GRRBill adopted today by @ScotParl introducing legal #GenderRecognition based on self-determination. Nine @coe states have already adopted such laws & several others under consideration. Key trend for full realisation of trans people’s #HumanRights.
I am delighted that Unite & Unison members have agreed to accept our record pay offer for NHS staff. I am grateful for the positive engagement that has taken place with our trade union colleagues, which has so far averted strike action in our NHS in Scotland.
First Minister @NicolaSturgeon's Christmas card is calling for action on climate change. The winning design was created by P5 pupil Evita Ye, who goes to Glasgow's Sunnyside Primary #HeartNews
🏴 Latest polling from Ipsos Mori:
🗳 Support for independence: 56%
👍 Support for the SNP at Westminster: 51%
👄 Support for the SNP at Westminster in a de-facto referendum on independence: 53% https://t.co/JEbOy1zLhZ
Support for indy is up 6 points compared with our May poll – 56% would vote Yes and 44% No in an immediate referendum. Question is whether this turns out to be a temporary bounce in the wake of the recent Supreme Court decision or a longer-lasting trend (4/9)
