@DrGBuckingham Evidence for genuine/specific enthusiasm for the subject/post and some straightforward preparation for the interview with intelligent questions speaks volumes. How have they overcome/addressed science not working? How do they find/read new science?

@dgonzales1990 Journal clubs are valuable as above - but easy to get bogged-down in criticising messy Westerns etc. Encourage discussing novelty / impact / context in the field / clarity / interpretation etc. too when group are ready, as you would a reviewer. Use reviewer templates as guides
