@rugby_podcast Percentage of Brumbies tries based on the rolling maul during McKellar’s time? I don’t know but I’d reckon it would have been the highest in the comp. Not much to do for 10s in that strategy. Larkham himself would have done poorly in that regime.
"As I rained blows upon him, I realised there had to be a better way..."
Happy Festivus, tweeps.
The airing of grievances will commence at 9am AEDT...

@hughcavill Code switchers beware. By the time of the 2027 WC, it’s likely the new tackling laws being trialled next year here (below the sternum, not the shoulder) will be part of at least super rugby.
I can’t see the NRL doing the same. Not easy to adapt tackling technique completely.
@NrcSydney Already moved on emotionally to the cricket. Watched the replay of the SA/England game. Well done England for getting so close. But overall this World Cup has left a bad taste but that’s only for one reason - the paucity of RA’s decision making. Good luck to SA and NZ.
@paulcullystuff Here’s a good way to do that. 1/ Dirty old town is better is better than zombie which is weird and not appropriate. 2/ what’s the nz response? History never repeats? 3/ as a wallabies fan I know WE CAN’T sing and seem attend games to talk about property ownership in Sydney.
@toneharper10@GoldDiggerRugby Singing has only worked once for Aussie rugby. Waltzing Matilda around the early 2000s. It was huge. Get someone a guitar at the welsh game and off we go!!
@GoldDiggerRugby Note to all
Wallabies fans going to the Welsh game.
“These Irish fans are incredible”…
The man of the match just after ireland beat SA.
Says it all.
It goes like this…
“Once a jolly…”
Over to you.
@HuwTindall@TalksRugby Fair enough. On pure size comparison no argument.
But it has been a whole 10 months since lonegran troubled Wales.
Have things changed so much so quickly? He’s much more skilled than Ulese.
@GoldDiggerRugby For the fans at the game pls scream and sing and shout yourselves hoarse. We at home have heard on the tv a lot of swing low, heaps of the French national anthem, loads of fiji madness, even welsh choirs in the crowds at the World Cup! how about some waltzing Matilda from you?
@liquorbox_@rugby_podcast McReight leads tackle counts, particularly in tight and against phase play. Leota will have to improve his work rate or someone else will need to step up on defence.
Otherwise Wales’ running forwards will make breaks and George North will be on their hips. It’s a risk.
@rugby_podcast Too true but 1/ they would still have had the rolling maul coached out of them (it didn’t function against Georgia or France) and 2/ injuries/suspensions are inevitable in tournaments, particularly those played in 35 degrees. 3/ we urgently need a tight forward factory.
