Our new study, published in @JCC_IBD, investigates the mechanisms of action of oral vancomycin in PSC-IBD. Induction of clinical remission was associated with changes in gut microbiome and bile acid metabolism. Thanks to @Y_ECCO_IBD grant, patients, and collaborators.
🆕 Patients with suspected inflammatory bowel disease (#IBD) could benefit from better testing protocols that would speed up diagnosis, reducing the need and lengthy wait for potentially unnecessary colonoscopies.
