@thetrainline please let me know how to claim compensation for a cancelled journey. According to @EastMidRailway its your responsibility to deal with this. However, there is no option to do this on your phone line or website! @RailOmbudsman what do you reckon?
@EastMidRailway can customer relations contact me? I have had a message from the Delay Repay Team to contact customer relations, but no contact details given! Is this a way to avoid paying #TrainDelay compensation - hoping that I will give up? @RailOmbudsman what do you think?
@mikefsway the price elasticity of gas supply in europe is highly inelastic: assumed to be 0.06 in a recent IMF Working Paper (DiBella et al 2020, page 27). So decreasing demand by 1% would reduce price by a massive 17%!
@DulwichCleanAir Just on a point of detail, by my reckoning there are a several schools benefiting from being in the LTNs: e.g. the Charter ED (main entrance), Goose Green school, Dulwich Hamlet, Alleyns.
@Riesenrad81@MattLCapon@lb_southwark@Southwark_News@dulwichdiverter The data at a recent consultation showed a big drop in car use over the area and more cycling. But East end of E DG was seeing more traffic. So the junction with Lrdship Lane at peak time is a real issue. Swk are planning to find out what journeys folk are taking down there.
@DulwichCleanAir Changing school timings seems like a good idea to avoid peak time travel and congestion. There are so many schools in the Dulwich area that staggered starting and finishing times would make a real difference. Hundreds of pupils are arriving by car every day.
@OneShepherds@DulwichCleanAir Yes interesting and provocative idea. GLA closed the City in 2019 for a weekend festival if I remember correctly (I went along). There were forecasts of #carmageddon but in the event the cars stayed away.
@CleanAirDulwich@RoseCllr@mcash@SuecharlieSmith Yes wands would be great. At the moment its a tricky slow uphill cycle with passing cars often too close, particularly by the pedestrian crossing point (slightly lower down than this photo)
“Impact of Introducing Low Traffic Neighbourhoods on Road Traffic Injuries” by @anthonylav, Anna Goodman, & me. Now published in @trnsprtfndngs: 'findings suggest LTNs reduce injury risks across all modes inside neighbourhood, w/o neg impacts at boundary.' https://t.co/piQGZw8wyq
Initially I am examining several literatures: #energyefficiency, sustainable #entrepreneurship and #sme decision making. That’s expected to lead to new ways of categorising SMEs. Primary research with SMEs is also envisaged: to test and develop the new categories. (2/2)
My PhD research has started. The topic is #energyefficiency and low #carbon decision-making by #SMEs. The objective is to improve understanding of their behaviours, to facilitate the take up of measures. Its at the #Bartlett Energy Institute. (1/2)
