I think much of our recent public health guidance (restriction of outdoor exercise classes, cancellation of outdoor sports, closure rather than improvement of patio dining) is retrogressive and pointless. It all comes down to believing science, and acknowledging aerosol.
@DavidElfstrom@katiegibbs@UHN Often hospital workers put a thin surgical mask over the N95, discard the surgical daily to lengthen working life of N95.
@DavidElfstrom@katiegibbs A friend who does AV for the @UHN said he uses a small 3M surgical respirator, his fit test code was 3M8210. I need to get this size for my wife as I have a temp of 103.5 and am waiting for test at 4 PM. If you wanted to split a box of 20 I may order them https://t.co/gsEItiqd7N
@cbkschroeder@sciam At this pt my pref. is for AZ. Supply chain limits means AZ most likely to benefit(esp. 60+) from a delayed dosing schedule. For AZ (shelf life 8 wk)closest to 12 weeks better than 4-8 weeks btwn shots, vs Pfizer efficacy at 16 wks vs 3-6 for elders falls btwn longer dose interval
@JonathanWNV How with a six-person Liberal plurality plus @Laurel_BC@m_pauze (= 2/3 majority) over four Conservatives can't @ScarpaleggiaLSL schedule committee and agree to strengthen C12, or are you waiting till TMX already built? @PnPCBC@CBCTheHouse @TheAgenda https://t.co/si6gnlWVif
@GeraldKutney@sunlorrie@TheTorontoSun@TorontoStar@globeandmail You're welcome! At least politicians such as Conservative environment critic Dan Albas acknowledges climate change even if it threatens the shallow version of Conservative values that Lorrie sees himself champion of, planted as he is in Stage One denial.
Next steps for #BillC12: Parties in House of Commons need to finish 2nd reading and send the bill to #ENVI Committee for detailed study.
Here's a map of the journey C12 has to travel before becoming law ⤵️
#Climate accountability is no joke.
#BillC12 -aka the Net-Zero Accountability Act- was tabled 133 DAYS AGO and parliament has yet to pass it through 2nd reading😡
Join our twitter storm today - ask your MP to get this essential climate legislation moving!

Clear article that walks through decision making on AstraZeneca vaccine's benefits and risks (31 brain clots out of 2.7 mill people ➡️ 30% death rate). 🇩🇪 states risk < benefit for over 60s, and younger folks in high risk groups. https://t.co/HdiaKm1Vp4 1/2
@MPaiMD@stephenlautens Thanks, will help convince vaccine-hesitant friends. If incidence of rare clots is AZ associated/caused but is far less than clots & other Covid risks, then it's not a total discount of the 30 cases cited here, but that they are not statistically significant? https://t.co/fhY9GHXuyo
@AmeliaLeckey Chiming in (as a thrombosis and hematology MD): clots we see in setting of AZ are not the same as clots seen with the pill (or with pregnancy). Different cause, different severity (even when same blood vessel clots!), management, outcome. 1/2
