After the COVID propaganda fiasco, I always like to ignore media articles and go to original sources. There's this piece on the BBC pushing the HPV vaccine, and it references an article in the BMJ,

which, when talking about the design study, says:

"In the birth cohort of women offered vaccination routinely at age 12-13 years, adjusted age standardised incidence rates of cervical cancer and CIN3 in the additional 12 months of follow-up (1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020) were, respectively, 83.9% (95% confidence interval (CI) 63.8% to 92.8%) and 94.3% (92.6% to 95.7%) lower than in the reference cohort of women who were never offered HPV vaccination."

Can you see a problem here?
This study didn't compare people who were actually vaccinated with people who weren't. It compared people who were in a cohort who were offered vaccination. And we don't know how many accepted the offer and were vaccinated. As the study itself acknowledges. In the section about limitations of the study it says:

"The main limitations of our study are that it was observational and individual level data on vaccination status were not available".

The article makes some vague statements about uptake being "high" but with no figures.
This is a red flag, given how much the percentage of vaccinated people during COVID was exaggerated.
You can't make a judgement about vaccine effectiveness if you include people who are "unvaccinated" in the "vaccinated" cohort.

After the last four years, I've learned that you need to read these pro-vaccine studies very carefully, and read between the lines as well as on the lines.

It's a bit grim really. A study supposedly showing that a vaccine works, didn't use a cohort of people who we know actually received it. Imagine if this was done in a "COVID early treatment" study about Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine. It would be criticised relentlessly by the scientific Establishment.

The HPV vaccine might work. But I don't think we'll find out unless we compare a group of people who actually had it to a similar group of people who didn't.

What this study actually seems to have found is that the simple act of offering HPV vaccines (regardless of whether vaccines were actually administered) seems to prevent cervical cancer. If that's true, that really is remarkable!

Also, any proper vaccine trial needs to monitor the entire health of recipients in comparison to a placebo group. We see evidence with the flu vaccine for example that irrespective of its ability to prevent flu (questionable), it does increase the risk of contracting other respiratory infections, notably coronaviruses.

There's not a lot of point preventing people from dying of cancer if they die of cardiac arrest instead from an adverse effect of the vaccine but in a much shorter same timeframe, is there?
