@OracBell_@VigilanteWayz_@billifer1973 The constitution doesn't even mention God. "under God" is from the pledge of allegiance (which has no legal impact) and was added in 1956, not 1776
@greatray1312 You seem to assume the non-beliver has the burden of proof. Why?
Would you similarly think it fair for someone to request from you the case for not believing in Thor, Santa Claus, or Bugs Bunny?
I don't believe because I haven't seen a sufficient argument for Gods existence.
@Schloss6David@RobertGKepes@luisbaram Theists will argue that atheist denial of the existence of God is inconsistent if we can't explain what caused the Universe. But that raised the question of what caused God.
So can I assume that you agree we can claim unconditional ground for the Universe like you do for God?
@Schloss6David@luisbaram Then please explain why I can't similarly construe the Universe as the universe as the ground existence itself? And claim it has no prior causes?
@Thechosenone904@SarahIronside6@jaredMclarinet You maybe be thinking of the declaration of independence, which mentions God once and 3 indirect references.
But the constitution doesn't have ANY reference, and that isn't an accident
@SpiderJack99@MCMikeSkywalker@AtheistPhoenix That study shows only 1/3 of scientists believe in God. Only by including belief in a "higher beings or universal spirits" do you get to 51%
@fredrick_d31586@DrNeilStone So you have an actual link of him saying "all vaccines are completely safe"? Or is that just a quick hit you got from some meme?
@ANicole12440@HalfwayPost The Astronauts weren't abandoned. When Trump took office they were scheduled to be flown down late March. All Trump and Elon did was speed up that launch by a whole 2 weeks
@CookieL33761265@AnnCoulter The constitution delegates the choice of electors to the legislature. (Article 2, section 1, clause 2). So this is both legal and constitutional.
@ARKloster@ChrisMoore15915@AnnCoulter There is nothing in the Constitution that requires EVs to be chosen based on popular vote. The constitution grants the power of selecting the electors to the legislature.
So the Texas legislature could in theory choose to grant the state's EVs to anyone they like.
@myAgentMP@subparanalysis@0xRuzy Are you sure?
In the fine print for the card, it states "Have a โQualifying Balanceโ with U.S. Bank in open consumer Bank Smartlyยฎ Checking, and/or Safe Debit account(s). Deposits in other U.S. Bank accounts do not qualify
@coffeelover479@CoachRileyig@0xRuzy Instead of selling stock and paying capital gains tax, they borrow against their holdings and keep refinancing the loans. When they die, heirs get a stepped-up basis, allowing stock to be sold to repay the debt with little or no capital gains tax.
@thedarkhorsepod Please share how you can "logically deduce" that something went wrong without actual evidence? Unless "logically deduce" means "it is just obvious to me"?
@Shrike_DeCil@AwakenedOutlaw You do realize that any citizen of California could challenge the results? So why do you think the California GOP wouldn't have that result before a judge in a heartbeat?
