Hey @alieward, just finished the latest @Ologies episode (which was wonderful as always), and thought that given you were such a fan of the word 'mozzie', it was my duty to share with you this Don Spencer song I grew up with!

@samreich Went to a wedding last night and did the wenis on the dance floor. We got a whole line going with people who didn't know it!
They'll be geniuses when they watch the show
@hankgreen I'd have expected something eclipse related... But it had to be @dropout's Bingo Game Changer episode.
Truly shocking just how amazing that show continues to be week after week!
@bethel_studios Glad to hear it was useful! I always wondered if it would be helpful to others because it's such an imprecise description - guess I'll use it more now!
@bethel_studios Not sure if you're wanting something more concrete than this, but I remember being told diminished is suspenseful, whereas augmented is Spacey and futuristic sounding.
Very vibes-based, but I find it a useful distinction!
@DavidKButlerUoA Interesting - I had always thought of it the other way around (a cone is a special pyramid with a curved 'face').
It hadn't occurred to me that pyramids and prisms actually have the more restrictive definition!
@howie_hua Ooh, a chance for difference of two squares!
15*25 = (20-5)(20+5)
= 20^2 - 5^2
= 400 - 25
= 375
I love using this method! Very fitting for happy number 100!
@saravdwerf I think you might be right! I certainly have unreasonably strong opinions in both debates!!
(For the record, yes to the Oxford comma, and parallelograms are ABSOLUTELY trapezoids.)
@kareem_carr The absolute top of my class in my maths degree was a guy who was completely uninterested in maths in school, did an arts degree, did a Primary School teaching degree, realised he didn't like it, and _then_ started loving maths.
Cannot comprehend what a bad take this is.
A couple of minutes after the power went out yesterday I thought "This is definitely going to be blamed on renewables for no reason, isn't it..."
Very disappointed that I called it ๐
Two transmission towers went down in a storm, causing the power station to trip and shut down.
If there is no way to transmit the power, then it doesn't matter what is feeding the transmission โ it can not get through.
This is all so stupid.
@DavidKButlerUoA Oh interesting - I was still thinking about it from a long-term tactical perspective, and just learning to approach it from a different direction.
Now that I understand, I really like this take though! Focuses on games as a source of enjoyment, rather than competition ๐
