The @NYPDChiefPatrol Community Response Team was created to address lawless behavior affecting our city. By the time this administration came into office, the quality of life in every community had to be addressed.

The CRT is a specialized team of highly trained officers whose mission it is to restore order. This work often involves addressing those quality of life conditions that disrupt our way of life and diminish our collective safety. Many of these offenses also escalate into other, more dangerous crimes.

Officer Jonathan Diller was one of these officers. He was committed to the mission. He went in harm’s way so others wouldn’t have to. His service mattered. He will never be forgotten.

When two subway trains collided earlier this week, Officer Marc O'Connor and Officer Antonia Ocasio from our @NYPDTransit K9 Unit were the first on the scene.
