The City of Pasadena's new dog park is open! Made possible by a grant from PetSafe, it features equipment, shade structures, and a dog wash station. The park is located directly behind our Adoption Center at 5160 Burke Road. Stop out and visit us!

We’ve taken in 76 dogs in the last six days, so we've reduced our adoption fees to $35 for heartworm negative dogs & $0 for heartworm positive dogs. Moreover, heartworm treatment purchased through us is just $75.

Love can be found on the end of a leash.

This Valentine's Day, visit our shelter. While you're here, consider the old dogs. The black dogs. The sad dogs. The dogs who've been let down by people. #shelterdogs #labradorretriever #AdoptDontShop #Valentines #seniordogs #houston

A few weeks ago, our shelter was in crisis mode. We had nearly 200 dogs & no kennels to spare. Then we turned to you. Your outpouring of support allowed us to save every adoptable dog!

We'd like to thank our Animal Control Officers for all they do--rescuing injured animals, investigating cases of neglect & abuse, reuniting lost pets with owners, educating children, & even repairing broken fences. #NationalLawEnforcementDay #AnimalControl #PasadenaTX #Houston

Want to make a real difference when we’re over capacity? Consider adopting or fostering a large dog, like Stan (A139634) a Shepherd mix. There's no adoption fee for dogs right now.

Over capacity! This week, we’re staying open late (until 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday), PLUS waiving adoption fees for dogs. #dogsoftwitter #puppies #puppylove #houston #PasadenaTX

[Pet Adoption Center @PetsPasadenaTX]

We don’t like waiving adoption fees. Or begging people to come adopt. But we’re often placed in an impossible position as we try to save every animal that comes through our shelter.

[Pet Adoption Center @PetsPasadenaTX]

There’s no more room for dogs at our shelter. We took in 63 pups in four days, pushing us way over capacity. We're now waiving adoption fees & extending our hours until 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Please visit us at 5150 Burke Rd.

Please help. We need a Christmas miracle—homes for dozens of primarily large dogs. If you can’t adopt, please consider fostering, even for a few weeks. We have so many wonderful, calm dogs like Avery (ID# A138286), who just need a chance.

[Pet Adoption Center @PetsPasadenaTX]

We have nearly 30 dogs living on borrowed time. We’re that far over capacity. We’re out of options, and we hear the clock ticking toward Thursday evening, when we will need to make the type of decisions that keep us awake at night.
