My personal account where I can share a few things the world ought to know. Husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather. Space and satellite industry veteran.
Kent County Council is considering closing local libraries and rubbish tips to cut costs. Kids need libraries to learn, and tip closures risk fly-tipping on our streets. I’ve signed to stop this. Will you add your name too? https://t.co/xrn4vlCqTF via @38degrees
@BBCBreakfast Today I received my £200 winter fuel payment from DWP. In April I’ll submit my tax return for 25/26. Next October they’ll reduce my tax code to recover that £200 between October 2026 and March 2027. This is one of the most stupid, inefficient systems I’ve ever seen.
It's November, so the European Space Agency (ESA) have their internship opportunities open for application at https://t.co/CLGuXcn4ic - about 200 of them at sites across Europe. You need to be enrolled on a full-time Master's degree course at a recognised university to apply.
@bbcstrictly I do hope that Tess & Claud participate as contestants in the Christmas special, dancing with each other, so that the judges can give them four tens https://t.co/cu2iN36S5Z
I want to petition the government to ban sitting MPs from changing party, and require them to stand down and compete in a bi-election. I need five people to support the petition for it to go live, please follow the link below to give your support. https://t.co/3TKsLqDQ09
Split the Labour vote in half just as Reform has split the Conservative vote in half. At the moment Labour, the Conservatives and Reform have equal vote share, so halving the Labour vote would give us a Conservative / Reform coalition. Or a Labour / Corbyn coalition. Not so good.
This is an academic question until we get much closer to an election. The key take-away here is that Labour, Reform and the Conservatives have an equal(ish) vote share.
A second poll shows @reformparty_uk in second place.
The trend indicates a hung parliament if election were held tomorrow.
The real question is whether the Tories and Reform would go into coalition in to keep Labour out.
Would you support that in this scenario?
A perfect visual metaphor for the current state of UK political discourse and the calibre of our elected representatives in government. Asleep at the wheel - and we’re paying for this!
If you have an income that makes you taxable, plus a side-hustle online, then HMRC are coming for tax on your side-hustle from January. Really annoying article buried amongst a million adverts, but explains the change from January well. https://t.co/MWtSidbrYv
It is a sad day for me. I must sever my ties with @reformparty_uk
Needless to say I shall remain a part of the movement I helped create and I will go on fighting for a proud, sovereign, democratic prosperous United Kingdom
Here is why:
