China does not travel with half a system.
After Xi Jinping’s plane took off, the armored Hongqi N701 presidential car and other equipment began being loaded onto a giant Air China cargo plane at Andrews Air Force Base in the United States.
A mobile fortress on four wheels:
The car: The fully armored “Hongqi N701,” designed exclusively for top leadership, with classified specifications to withstand explosions and chemical attacks.
The air fleet: An independent sovereign system that travels on dedicated aircraft (B-2479 for the president and delegation, and B-2475 for the entourage and equipment), allowing China to travel with its full presence wherever it goes.
