Meet Mary Beth. She adopted her four grandkids, ages 10, 12, 15 & 16, because their parents suffer from addiction.
Mary Beth relies on SNAP to put food on the table and Medicaid so they can see doctors and dentists.
The House Republican Budget cuts both. Share her story.
Dr. James E. Shepard (1875-1947) was a Shaw University-trained pharmacist, educator, and founder of the school that would become North Carolina Central University. #BlackHistoryMonth#NCCU
Despicable. As families grieve, Trump should be leading, not lying. We put safety first, drove down close calls, grew Air Traffic Control, and had zero commercial airline crash fatalities out of millions of flights on our watch.
President Trump now oversees the military and the FAA. One of his first acts was to fire and suspend some of the key personnel who helped keep our skies safe. Time for the President to show actual leadership and explain what he will do to prevent this from happening again.
The Tuskegee Airmen were the first Black military aviators in the United States who fought in World War II & helped pave the way for desegregation of the military. What they did for this entire NATION, can never and will NEVER be erased. #Tuskegee#BlackHistoryIsAmericanHistory
You can't erase our history. It's not just Black history it's also American history. My Great-uncle was Captain Albert Whiteside Jr an original Tuskegee Airmen. When I was a child I got to talk to him in person. People should learn about the Tuskegee Airmen.
My HS principal was a Tuskegee airman, an excellent educator that took involved interest in his students education. We never knew his background until the city had a surprise ceremony for him. Rest in power QP Smith. He won't be forgotten. https://t.co/x1Jf8rfLYw
The Tuskegee Airmen were far more than a diversity and inclusion initiative; they were a testament to excellence and determination in the face of systemic racism. These men were not included in the U.S. military as a gesture of equity—they had to fight for the opportunity to prove themselves as some of the most highly qualified and skilled pilots in history. Under the oppressive Jim Crow laws, they underwent rigorous training at Tuskegee Army Air Field, earning their wings not because they were given a seat at the table but because they demanded it through merit and perseverance. Their service was not about representation for its own sake but about breaking barriers through undeniable skill and performance. These brave men changed the trajectory of our nation not by fulfilling quotas, but by excelling in their missions and demonstrating their value on and off the battlefield. @BlackNoChaser@BeBlackNoChaser
