Help me! I’m a new faculty and am blown away by emails from students over the weekend, at crazy hours, and directly before the assignment due date (always 2359 in our time zone). My syllabus states I won’t answer emails on weekends and if any assignment is late there’s a penalty

@AcademicChatter HELP! Nearing end of PhD & dissertation chair hasn’t offered SINGLE edit to dissertation instead farming responsibility out to other members. Now they expect 2nd author when I publish- which will be after I graduate. Absolutely don’t want to include them. Advice?
