@heydave7 Having bought FSD in Australia in 2022 (HW3 model Y), I just upgraded to the new Model Y to take advantage of the FSD transfer. It was worth the wait!

If the cost of these cars is substantially higher than a Tesla AV, even if uber were to absorb these higher costs, how sustainable is this in the medium to long term. I think you may be also under estimating the data advantage Tesla has over ‘startups’ who have yet to collect anywhere near the data for training that Tesla has. Or is your assumption that they will be licensing Tesla FSD?

100% agree. Having been heavily involved in the Saas transformation of enterprise IT service management , the biggest costs was transforming processes but also historical data. Incorporating a means to streamline or ideally automate the migration of data and processes from existing systems to new systems will be remove the majority of roadblocks to change.
