Dear @AlikoDangote@DangoteGroup,
Kindly be informed that all the @MRSOilNigeria filling stations in Lokoja are selling at N830/ltr. They refused to display prize on their display panels outside the station but when you drive in, you discover they sell at N830.
They will also harrass you when you try to take pictures.
This is totally wrong and should be addressed as soon as possible.
Thank you.
Let me tell you a true story, told by Dr. Bashir Kurfi, for you to know how bad things are. I will not be calling them bandits in this tweet. I'll be calling them terrorists. One of the most notorious terrorists, AbdurRahman Jankare masterminded the killing of an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Aminu Dayi. They celebrated openly. Jankare then took the Assistant Commissioner's uniform as his own personal memento. He wore the uniform to the party the terrorists held in the celebration of Aminu Dayi's death.
Later, they had the "Peace" deal with the government in Katsina. The terrorists set the terms and one of them is that none of the security officers should come with their uniform. On the day of the meeting, all the security officers came in mufti. Then came Jankare, the terrorist, wearing the uniform of the Assistant Commissioner of Police he had killed with the name Aminu still on the chest.
The psychological defeat that would have cause to many officers cannot be overstated. It's a message to the security forces there. We, the terrorists, are bigger and more powerful than you. Don't do anything to undermine our authority or the next uniform we'll be wearing will be yours!
If you know Kwara state so well you will realise this is another case of "putting the cart before the horse." Traveling down to Lafiagi from Ilorin (state capital) is hell esp between Share and Gbugbu. That stadium money could've been used to repair part of that road instead.
PS: Long story. Scroll on please.
In 2018 Major General Idris who had just retired after 35 years of service was driving solo from ABJ to Bauchi to go be with his family. He never got home. He literally disappeared with no clues except for a last phone call to his wife saying he’d just passed Jos. I followed that story update by update cos it was quite intriguing & one of the most interesting cases of that time.
Anyway let’s go; after his wife alerted the authorities, an official “Find him DOA” order was issued by the GOC, authorities flocked Jos; they brought in Army dogs, police divers etc yet for over two weeks, nothing concrete. MTN & Glo were contacted & his last triangulated location was somewhere in Dura-Du, Jos.
Now besides the fact that there was an angry protest around Dura-Du on the day he was traveling(protest was about Fulani herdsmen who had killed some people a day prior whilst robbing a mall)no one seemed to know anything, everyone initially questioned denied knowing or seeing anything. One more nail biting, heart wrenching week passed where political accusations were flung to & fro, however the Military insisted the retired general’s disappearance had something to do with Dura-Du, not politics or military in-fights.
Anyway after aggressively searching, they found an abandoned mining pit filled with water, intelligence posited the General’s Toyota was disposed in that pit, the decision was made to drain it. Hundreds of women in the community wore black to protest; that the pit had never been drained before & draining it will attract curses bla bla bla but the Military stood their ground, and they were right.
The General’s Toyota was found there with his blood stained T shirt but not his body. Arrests began immediately.
Long story short; The General was killed by protesting youths who barricaded the road & intercepted him despite identifying himself. They stole his cash, phones & laptop. They sunk his car & buried his body in a shallow grave. They all swore an oath to secrecy, which is why it was very hard for the Military to get information initially. After discovery of his car & interrogation of some suspects, they were led to the shallow grave where his body was buried.
Now guess what? They found out that the youths had exhumed it when the initial alarm about his disappearance was raised.
Remember the order was to find the General dead or alive, so they kept going, they threw everything at it; arrests, interrogations etc including a heavily pregnant woman even, they threw everything at it till they found out that the youths exhumed the body & threw it into a deep well. They had to pump water out the well to recover the General’s body & send back home for a befitting burial.
EVERY MAJOR suspect was tracked down, arrested & handed over to the Police.
If you made it this far, congratulations, me sef don tire to de type😂
Moral Of This Long Ass Story:
Nigerian Security Services are effective AF whenever they want to be, the problem is they don’t rate us enough to do it for the ordinary man. Our lives don’t matter.
Know this & know peace. Have a good day.
One of the remarkable things about destiny is that it unfolds naturally, without force, at the right time and in the right way.
The achievements of Oba Adewolu Ladoja stand as a testament to this truth. From serving as a Senator, to becoming Governor, and now ascending as the Great Monarch of Ibadanland , Kabiyesi, Baba mi; your journey is nothing short of extraordinary.
