@jet2tweets All academic really as you’ve changed the plane/carrier to SmartLynx. Now changed the fight times so have zero confidence that anything will reflect what we booked. #never again
Vans are now being turned away at dover docks carrying aid for minimal value on commercial invoices - by the BRITS - not the french . They are enforcing the law 101% on humanitarian aid . Miffed and dumbfounded is an understatement
@KirstieMAllsopp@richardhyland Agreed. See last see section of this. Double AZ not approved so won’t get you the psssport although there was talk of each Canton looking at other options on 14th Sept: https://t.co/MTEhvy2wiE
@KirstieMAllsopp@richardhyland That’s the position we were faced with. We had our PCR booked Tuesday (to fly back yesterday) and only when we got the results on Wednesday could we then get back into a restaurant. Some poor souls were eating outside at 9pm in the cold/rain albeit under an awning.
Back from a brilliant few days in Switzerland where the mountains, the walking, biking and the food are all fantastic just the small challenge of navigating the local COVID passport rules when you’re double AZ jabbed 🤦🏻🇨🇭
@richardhyland@KirstieMAllsopp It is crazy and the local restaurants/hotels are bearing the brunt of it - if you’re booked into a hotel say on half board then you can’t eat in the hotel restaurant (inside). You can’t enter the local museums but with a mask you can go into the shops. 🤷
@richardhyland@KirstieMAllsopp Approved for travel but not for Swiss Covid Passport and that’s what you need to get into restaurants and bars etc. Here’s the Bern Canton link but they all taking the same approach (double AZ not acceptable) : https://t.co/GEpF9Cuipw
@KirstieMAllsopp@SwissEmbassyUK Back from Switzerland yesterday, Faced the same challenge since Monday. PCR test was only option for us but needed one anyway to return home. Expensive at approx £360 for two of us and you’d need one every 3 days! No access to hotel restaurant, bars, museums, indoor activities.
So my elderly parents have just forked our for their TV license at the same time the BBC think it’s fair to award a near £1m pay rise to Zoe Ball. I could get my head around it if she was actually any good but I can’t stand her on Radio 2. The world has gone mad.
