I’m sure I will lose old friends over this post, but I feel I have to say it. On3 Sports is now charging families $499 a year to get a player evaluation, recruiting profile and other supposed benefits through Rivals.
Let me be blunt: Don’t waste your money.
I was one of the original publishers on the Rivals network. I worked inside that system, evaluated players and helped athletes earn legitimate exposure. I know how the recruiting game works and I know all the games these companies play.
No family should have to pay $499 to have someone “evaluate” their son. That is complete bullshit. A paid profile does not make a player a prospect, and paying for an evaluation does not create scholarship offers.
There are far better ways to get legitimate exposure: verified film, accurate measurables, direct communication with college coaches, targeted camps and an honest evaluation from someone who actually understands personnel.
Spend your money helping your son become a better football player—not purchasing the illusion that exposure comes with a $499 price tag.#footballrecruiting #schsl
