A quick jaunt down the motorway this evening to Belvide for a Bonapartes Gull, the 2nd one Iβve seen in Staffs. Luckily it landed on the Chappell Bund and my new camera did the rest π
Today was a Wood kind of day with Wood warbler at an undisclosed site this morning followed by Wood Sand 2 mins from home on Lord ship Lane Quarry scrape. Thanks to @nutcracker1965 for the find and getting the news out ππ» supporting cast of Ringed Plover and Dunlin ππ»
Pleasant morning at Blithefield finally locating the Ring Necked Ducks off Beech Tree point. They were too far to photograph so had to make do with this LRP on the causeway. Other birds of note were Kittiwake, Mandarin, Goldeneye and Common Sand.
Another nail in the coffin last night. It was a difficult watch to say the least.
