I’ve been blessed to experience some unforgettable moments inside Assembly Hall during my time with the Indiana Hoosiers Men’s Basketball Team.

From Rob Phinisee’s game - winner over the top ranked Purdue Boilermakers… To the electric whiteout win against the top - ranked North Carolina Tar Heels…

But what happened this week sits at the top.

Thousands gathered at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall - not for a game, but to worship Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Fraternities. Sororities. Athletes. Campus Ministries. Community leaders. All unified at “A Night With The Son” event. Tiffany Hudson from @elevation_wrshp delivered a powerful night of worship.

A church switched from giving branded mugs to first-time visitors to donating meals to a local rescue mission in their name.

Their connect card completion rate went from roughly 15% to almost 95% (@refugechurchlc on IG).

The gift changed from "here's our logo" to "we did something meaningful on your behalf." Turns out their community responded to generosity, rather than merchandise.

High Point G Chase Johnston hit the game-winning bucket in their upset win vs Wisconsin with Acts 20:24 on his shoe.

“But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”
Acts 20:24

The broadcaster falsely stated the Bible verse was about The Parable of The Lost Sheep, & tried to relate it to the game, but who cares, I’ll take as much Bible and Jesus in the game as possible 👍🏼

🧵The Song That Changed the World

It’s the most famous Christian song in the world… and you probably sang it this week at church. But the story behind the song is unbelievable. This is the miraculous story of John Newton & “Amazing Grace.” 🧵👇🏼

I wanted to give the family some time before sharing what’s on my heart. On Thursday, Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea went to heaven.

Terry was a member of our church and a personal friend. Over the past two years, we had the opportunity to pray together, study God’s Word, challenge one another, and grow in our faith. It’s always a highlight to see believers taking spiritual steps, but I will always remember baptizing Terry and Sky and officiating their wedding ceremony.

Though we miss him deeply, we know he is in the presence of the Lord—fully healed, fully free, and worshiping the Savior he loved with all his heart. Terry is more alive now than he has ever been.

To the world, he was Hulk Hogan—a legend. But to us at Indian Rocks Church, he was simply Terry: a humble, joyful, Jesus-loving man who lived out his faith every day. He worshiped faithfully with his wife, Sky—not behind the scenes, but shoulder to shoulder with the people he loved. He didn’t want the spotlight or the green room. He wanted to be where God was moving.

Those of us who had the joy of worshiping alongside Terry knew him not as a celebrity, but as a brother in Christ. He loved God, loved people, and loved his neighbors right here in Pinellas County.

Most Sundays, he showed up in his iconic John 3:16 shirt—often with a guest or two—friends he invited because he wanted them to experience the same hope and love he found in Jesus. He always made time for people: handshakes, hugs, and conversations that pointed hearts to Christ.

Terry wasn’t a perfect man—he never claimed to be. He had a past, and he made mistakes. But Terry was a Jesus man, and that’s the beauty of the Gospel. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Terry didn’t just talk about his faith—he lived it. He walked in grace, and he made sure everyone around him knew that grace was available for them too.

I’m going to miss him, but I hold on to the simple truth Terry believed with all his heart: “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”—Romans 10:9

That’s the kind of saving faith Terry had. That’s why we know we’ll see him again one day.

If you’re reading this today, know that you can have the same kind of faith Terry had. Jesus offers hope, forgiveness, and eternal life to anyone who believes. We invite you to visit a local, Bible-believing church—just like Terry did—and discover God’s design for your life.

I love you, Terry. Thank you for showing us how to boldly live for Jesus and finish strong.

If you haven’t done so yet, make sure you set aside time tonight to pray for pastor.

That his sermon would correct, rebuke, and encourage with patience and sound teaching.

Pray that believers would be strengthened and unbelievers would come to know Christ.

We have a generation of Christians who struggle to think clearly past their emotions.

Immaturity says, "If it makes me sad or angry, it's not true."

MATURITY: My Dad used to say, "Children live by their feelings. Adults live by their convictions and commitments."

Several years ago, I saw this video for the first time, and it rocked me. Thank you to @louiegiglio and the amazing @passion268 team for creating such a unique way to see the Gospel.

[Greg Stier @gregstier]

Last night I preached at a men's Bible study. It was filled with 40 awesome guys.

When I gave the Gospel and an invitation at the end, 15 of these men indicated they were putting their faith in Jesus as their Savior for the very first time.

This leads me to give a challenge to men's ministry leaders, women's ministry leaders, pastors and youth leaders: Never assume that just because people show up to your ministry meeting they are saved.

Give the gospel every time.

Give an invitation every time.

This may be their last time to hear the Gospel.

If you need help in knowing how to do that effectively check out my video, 5 Keys to Doing an Effective Invitation: https://t.co/Qpymln3aPc

One takeaway from reading the Bible in a year is that you can't escape the relentlessness of humanity's missteps. It becomes tiresome to read again & again. Then irritating. Then revolting. Then numbing.

And this experience is the point. Human grace is exhaustible. God's is not.
