@billyycrick Great initiative!! Many children are suffering from mental health issues, knowing that they are safe within the school and have someone they trust to talk to can go a long way to helping those students with their mental health and wellbeing.
@billyycrick Strongly agree with teaching kids how to manage and prepare different types of foods! So many children will need to learn to cook / clean without any guidance. This will help students even after their schooling years!
@billyycrick Thanks for sharing ! It is awesome to see big supermarket brands like Coles partnering with programs to provide learning experiences to children within schools ! Will definitely be looking into this further to see if I can implement it into my teaching !
@billyycrick Community gardens are perfect for hands on learning for children, its a unique way to look at sustainability and for children to learn about growing and maintaining crops!
@billyycrick Healthy Harold is such an amazing resource if the school is able to secure him, I still remember my visits from healthy Harold in primary school! Definitely a long lasting impact
@Brayden07339463 Teaching kids about these issues that are going on in the world around them is vital for their knowledge, they need to learn about these issues as they are the future of our planet!
Walk Safely to School day is a great initiative, linking closely with #SDG3 and one of its goals 'reduce road injuries and deaths'. This initiative should be implement by every school and be completed each year.

@RileyMUON I try to eliminate single use plastics within my day to day life! Taking small steps such as a reusable water bottle can go a long way to eliminating plastics within our environment!
@CodyBella08 Totally agree! Health and wellbeing should be discussed more inside the classroom, definitely something I will be trying to implement into my classroom one day.
@CodyBella08@beyondblue What a great idea! It is vital that students learn to regulate their emotions and do it in a safe place! Sensory gardens are an awesome idea !
Many students eat from the school canteen daily, it is vital that we are allowing students to choose from healthier food and drink options and supporting them in making these choices!

A creative way to implement #SDG3 into a classroom environment is to visit your local supermarket, observing the difference in food varieties. Knowledge of these differences help promote health and wellbeing in students!

Local farmers markets are a great learning tool when teaching young children about #SDG3. Learning from local members of the community about how fresh produce is grown and how they can include these foods in their everyday diet will benefit kids for life.

Just a friendly reminder to take time to yourself, and focus on what is in front of you. Health and wellbeing is more than just an individuals physical health.

World Health is not simply physical but also psychological and spiritual. If we connect to our inner Self that is one with the entire universe, wellbeing will become our own immutable nature. Yoga, Ayurveda and Vedanta show the way. #WorldHealthDay
