The deputy leader of the opposition criticises me again for leaving mid-conflict, while the leader of the party says I should’ve gone sooner. You can’t have it both ways. Make up your mind, Labour was I wrong to leave when I did, or should I have left sooner? Which one is it?
What a wonderful evening at the Royal Ball at Buckingham Palace, hosted by Her Majesty The Queen @UKOBsophia . It was a real privilege to meet Her Majesty, the Prime Minister , a former Prime Minister my Chancellor, @EzeralthorpUKOB . A truly memorable evening filled with fun.
After six months as Prime Minister, today I give up the helm and hand the ship to a new captain.
Leaving has genuinely made me sad, reflecting on all the memories.
I’m proud of what we achieved, but most of all, grateful for the people who made it possible.
Thank you, UKOB. ❤️

The Middle East is facing a concerning escalation. We condemn all attacks against civilians. Sanctions are taking effect. I urge all nations to act.
My message is stop the attacks, protect civilians, and pursue peace.
The UK stands with civilians and our international partners.
I planned to step down on September 20, but my party has decided I should remain as Prime Minister until October 1st in order to to manage the escalating situation in the Middle East, attend key meetings and work with world leaders. I will chair a COBRA meeting tonight. 🇬🇧
I spoke with the Iraqi leadership today. Our position remains unchanged. Their decision is noted;our investigation continues.
We seek no escalation.
But Britain will not be threatened, pressured, or pushed aside. We will protect our people and our interests wherever necessary.
It is with great sadness that I announce my departure from DS on the 20th of September. It has been the greatest achievement. I thank all across the world for making it special. The United Kingdom is in a much better place than when I entered. I wish you all good luck. 🇬🇧
