The train guard made a very public (well to all 3 people on the carriage) that security and police would be waiting for him at Euston and they were. 4 people waiting for pops as he stepped off the train. Fair play to the police officer, he kept looking like this is all very silly

On the train the inspected told him to pay a fine or get off immediately, as I said he’s old school, principled, he thought it was ridiculous, he’d paid for a ticket but was just on a slightly earlier one, plus the train was empty! And as inspector confirmed the cost was zero dif
