I just exercised my right as a Member of Congress to conduct an unannounced oversight visit of the ICE field facility in Baltimore. The staff I met with respected my right to visit, but what I saw was disgraceful. Kristi Noem has a budget of $75 billion she could use to ensure humane conditions, but we saw 60 men packed into a room shoulder-to-shoulder, 24-hours-a-day, with a single toilet in the room and no shower facilities. They sleep like sardines with aluminum foil blankets. Whether it’s for three days or seven days, nobody would want a member of their family warehoused there. The room set aside for dangerous criminals and violent offenders was empty. We’re demanding immediate answers and action.

🇺🇸 REP JIM JORDAN DOUBLES DOWN ON PRIVACY WHILE PUSHING FOREIGN INTEL SERVICE ACT REFORM

Rep. Jim Jordan slammed the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act’s warrantless surveillance and demanded change before its December 2025 expiration.

He argued for warrants to query Americans’ data and closing loopholes letting the FBI buy private info without oversight.

“Are we all in the database? Every single person, every single American?

This database is huge.

We’re all getting swept up in this.

They can’t police themselves.”

He cites FBI abuses like snooping on Speaker McCarthy’s toll records to “pattern someone’s life.”

He pushed bills to limit gag orders and data broker buys, asking, “Should we put it all in 702 or do separate legislation?”

As Congress rushes to renew Section 702, which allows warrantless spying, the FBI admits it “incidentally” captures Americans’ calls.
