@EaglesJuhgnkee “If you are an #Eagles fan that wants Doug Pederson gone, please remember where you came from. Where we all came from. Heartbreak after heartbreak, and yet suddenly we’re ready to blow up this era that brought us our first Superbowl?”
- Many people in 2021
@HakSantana1@CenTexBirdFan@MattMcKay19@Topgangstatroll You seem to want to approach the game with a pie chart of who should get what percentage of TDs to keep everyone happy, and that just quite simply isn’t how it works lol
You make the plays that give you the best chance of scoring and winning the game. That’s it, man.
@HakSantana1@CenTexBirdFan@MattMcKay19@Topgangstatroll Well, since you were so concerned about not rewarding Saquon, and you’ve suggested giving him the carries from the 1 and 2… how would that make AJ happy, exactly? He’s be happy if Saquon got TDs, instead of Jalen?
How many of Jalen’s TDs would you delegate to each player?
@HakSantana1@CenTexBirdFan@MattMcKay19@Topgangstatroll Would you propose that the first down play should be a throw to the same WR who got tackled? To “reward” him?
“Hey, if it doesn’t work out, just change the play on 2nd down!”
What an absolutely moronic way to approach a football game that would be.
@HakSantana1@CenTexBirdFan@MattMcKay19@Topgangstatroll Lol they “rewarded” the RB with $20mil/year. You run the play that gives you the best chance to score. It’s a team game, dude.
I suppose you’re equally upset when a WR gets tackled at the 1 or 2 and a team hands it off the RB?
@CenTexBirdFan@HakSantana1@MattMcKay19@Topgangstatroll Whereas the tush push, at its peak, was about as damn close to a guarantee as you get in the NFL. And that’s INSANELY valuable to have.
I’ll never understand the criticism of having a completely dominant play, and using it to your benefit lol.
@CenTexBirdFan@HakSantana1@MattMcKay19 @Subieroo_wrx @Topgangstatroll Ya, I sure would have loved to have had Hurts in there for a tush push against the Bears when we had first and goal from the 1 and had a Saquon run for -1, a Saquon run for 0, and a Dalton INT.
People act like it’s a guarantee the RB will get a yard, when it just simply isn’t
@Subieroo_wrx@CenTexBirdFan@Topgangstatroll Well, no lol.
Stafford with 17 less passing TDs would be 29 TDs in 17 games.
Jalen Hurts had 35 TDs in 15 games 2022.
So, I can see math isn’t your strength. But I’m sure there’s something you’re good at… I just… haven’t figured it out yet.
@HakSantana1@MattMcKay19@Subieroo_wrx@CenTexBirdFan@Topgangstatroll Maybe you didn’t notice that this is a discussion about Jalen Hurts’ 2022 season. And that the original tweet was about 2022. And that every subsequent tweet was about his TDs in 2022.
But I’m glad you have nothing valuable to say about the points I made.
@HakSantana1@MattMcKay19@Subieroo_wrx@CenTexBirdFan@Topgangstatroll Eagles RBs had 12 TDs from inside the 5 in 2022.
JHurts had 9 TD runs and 2 TD passes inside the 5.
Chiefs RBs had 7 TDs from inside the 5 in 2022.
Mahomes had 3 TD runs and 17 TD passes inside the 5.
One of these is seen as “taking TDs from the RBs” and one is not.
@MattMcKay19@Topgangstatroll@Subieroo_wrx Chiefs RBs had 7 rushing TDs inside the 5, Eagles RBs had 12. So the whole “Hurts vultured all those TDs from his RBs” argument doesn’t hold up either.
Wild that people still try to downplay his 2022 numbers because the Eagles offense wasn’t pass heavy in goal to go lol
@MattMcKay19@Topgangstatroll@Subieroo_wrx Crazy that people don’t get it.
Only 2 of Hurts’ 22 TD passes were inside the 5 yard line that year. 9 of his 13 TD runs were inside the 5. So 11/35 TDs inside the 5 yard line.
17 of Mahomes’ 41 TD passes were inside the 5. 3 of his 4 TD runs inside the 5. So 20/44 TDs.
@Subieroo_wrx@CenTexBirdFan@Topgangstatroll Less than half of them.
Stafford had 17 passing TDs of 5 or less yards last year. 12 of which were on 1st or 2nd down. 8 of which were 1 yard.
Mahomes had 17 passing TDs of <5 in 2022.
Curious why short TDs are somehow a negative when running the ball, but not when passing?
@MJO316x@GRVYWear For more 2024 context/more Jalen Hurts NFL ranks that year:
11th in TD%
6th lowest INT%
4th in Y/A
3rd in Adjusted Y/A
5th in passer rating
10th in QBR
8th lowest bad throw %
7th highest on target %
10th in EPA/play
Just an absolute boxscore watcher take to say he wasn’t good
@MJO316x@GRVYWear Career highs in completion percentage, yards per attempt, passer rating, second best QBR of his career… but ya, focus purely on the volume stats lol.
They didn’t throw the ball often in 2024, because they didn’t need to. You’re confusing a lack of need for a lack of ability.
@bobby990r_1@ShaqMitchell JSN had 62 yards in his first 4 NFL games.
Makai Lemon has 65 yards in his first 4 games.
This isn’t me saying that Lemon will be good as JSN. This is me saying that calling someone a bust after 4 games is immeasurably stupid.
@cdttalks@GRVYWear Go watch what playoff game? He didn’t even make it into the playoffs, bozo. With all that.
Guy doesn’t even know his own team. Fuckin embarrassing.
@cookedblocked@cdttalks@GRVYWear Hahaha cmon now, CDtalks. No need to block me just because you told me the Dallas OC was the reason they lost in the playoffs in 2019 (even though they didn’t even make the playoffs in 2019 and that exact same OC won a Super Bowl with the Eagles)
@cookedblocked@cdttalks@GRVYWear And the corpse of Jason Witten was still good for 60+ catches and 500+ yards every year. That’s not nothing, when it’s at worst your 4th receiving option, when you also have a great RB and a phenomenal O-line lol
@cookedblocked@cdttalks@GRVYWear Sure, ignore every other aspect of the tweet lol.
But also, tell me how many WR3’s you see around the league that are better than 2019 Randall Cobb. Honest assessment. How many WR3’s put up over 800 yards? How many WR3’s come into a season off a career of averaging 700+ yards?
