Idiot Marxists like James will never understand the military. They also will never understand the reality and purpose of a change agent.

A change agent, by definition, cannot be “accomplished” or “built” by the systems they are trying to fundamentally change.

You don’t bring in a former Joint Chief to change the organizations he spent more time in the upper echelons of than he did in the trenches.

You need someone who remembers what a line unit was like, someone who remembers what the men and women doing the work really want and need… someone who left before they were corrupted by the inevitable politics involved with the higher levels of the military.

That is what they always miss about Hegseth.

He was never meant to be the most experienced soldier with the best resume fit to lead our troops.

He was meant to be the change agent that returned our military to greatness, competence, and lethality, something that numerous career military flag officers had failed at.

This is, sadly, how it has been as long as I have been politically aware (which is since the mid 80s and my man Ronny). The ELECTED right are the wrong people. They talk the hardest to get elected and grift once they hit DC. 80/20 rule invoked here but that is the truth.

The ELECTED left are 80/20 thrilled to go with whatever crazy shit their leadership want and that is typically what the GOP leadership wants.

This is the Swamp. I lived in Alexandria for almost 20 years.
