Brendan Sorsby is a Day 2 talent. Typically, when you have to declare for the supplemental draft your value decreases at least 2 rounds. Riskier to do when you know your team is going to be bad... but yeah, I'd spend a 5th on him. I'd consider a 4th.
Just a brutal schedule, also 0 respect from the league.
Floor: 2-15
Ceiling: 5-12
Prediction: 3-14
I just donโt see how this team competes with this schedule. Rookie HC, 10+ rookies, inexperienced QB.
Chargers TE Charlie Kolar: "There's something so beautiful about you're up by six points, it's like 3rd and 3-you know you're running it. There's two minutes left in the game, they have no timeouts. You get a first down, the game's over."
"They know you're running it. Your wife knows you're running it. Their wife knows you're running it. You still run it. That is more satisfying than any touchdown I've ever had. That's one thing I've grown to appreciate in the NFL."
Optimistic Dol-Fan:
Achane is a top 5 OW in the NFL.
Pat Paul continues his upward climb.
Proctor proves he's the freak JES thinks he is.
Aaron Brewer continues to be the best center in football.
Malik Washington is a slot DOG.
Malik Willis stabilizes the QB position.
Optimistic Dol-Fan:
Jacob Rodrigues is a + starter and future stud.
Ken Grant develops into the monster he can be.
Chop Robinson looks like the rookie Chop, not whatever we got last year.
Chris Johnson cements himself as a starter.
Jordyn Brooks is a pro bowl level player.
Sorsby loves the middle of the field and has a pretty arrogant arm. Reminds me of a little of Joe Burrow. Got an arm, but definitely needs some technical refinement. If I am Miami I draft him in round 3 all day, but not round 2.
(I don't think he makes it to round 3 though)
Doing a dig on Sorsby. I think he's a top 75 player drafted if he came out this year.
I think he's better than Carson Beck (pick 65) & Drew Allar (pick 76).
You'd have to imagine the gambling allegations do affect his stock negatively, but hard to see him escaping round 3.
Miami has got to trade Austin Jackson. Start Proctor there and let's get the man some live reps at his future position.
OL should be Paul-Salyer-Brewer-Jonah S-Proctor. 4 of those are your OL for the foreseeable future. Let them learn each other and begin to gel.
@ckparrot@PattonAnalytics I would say 99.8% that Austin Jackson will be traded. You draft these players high with a position in mind... you don't let a 1 year commitment to Austin Jackson prevent these guys from playing the positions they were brought in to play in the future.
