@PS_MAAIF was joined by #SSCUganda Project Coordinator @JTwinamasiko1 in receiving the award for a project that has reached over 15,000 farmers in 33 districts.

Key #SSCUganda achievements include:
❇️ Introduction of high-yielding varieties of rice, millet, sorghum ❇️ Introduction of the Chinese duck breed
❇️ Establishment of 50 rice-fish culture sites with 400,000 fish fry with 7,000 kilograms of feed

❇️Distribution of 10 floating fish feed making machines to 10 districts in Eastern Uganda
❇️ Establishment of a 1,400-broiler poultry demonstration and a 200-heads of beef cattle demo and

Together with Hon. @FredBwino the Minister of State for Agriculture, @JTwinamasiko1 the project coordinator and more technical staff, we are representing Uganda at the FAO's flagship World Food Forum during which we received the award.

Through this project, farmers in Uganda received new high-yielding varieties of rice, millet and sorghum. The project also established 50 rice-fish culture sites with 400,000 fish fry and 7,000 kg of feeds and availed 10 floating fish feed making machines to 10 districts.

The big ear goat can achieve 45 kilograms in 18 months
