It's hard when your body is so tired that you're falling asleep where you are sitting. So, you go to bed, but the second you lay down, your mind jolts you awake and it will not stop.
You should be willing to die at your shitty job so that rich people's grandkids have minimal interruptions in their lifestyles-it's the right thing to do. #GOPDeathPanels
I love our Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham! From the beginning she's been proactive and I have full faith that she is doing what's best, right and fair for New Mexicans. #coronavirus
An anon account has been naming abusers in the games industry. Alexis Kennedy is one of them. I can't speak to the motives of the anon, but Alexis is a well-known predator in the games industry. I have been warning people about him for years.
@alienmelon Reading your story was rough on me. I have a similar story from working as an engineer. Sitting in the bathroom stall, crying over the keyboard while coding, and more. I ended up forced out of my profession because I developed a chronic illness.
Thank you for sharing.
i wrote a post that you should read

@David_Edgrrr @SputzeeD@ooblets But, yes, they took money from the gaming community, from the public, through Patreon as part of funding their work on the game. That was the original question that was asked.
@David_Edgrrr @SputzeeD@ooblets Indies do NOT typically get that much stable income. Period. Do I wish more game devs got those levels of stable support? Guess what? I do.
They were clearly relatively successful with the game and haven't even released it yet! Good on them for that!
@David_Edgrrr @SputzeeD@ooblets And your defensiveness over simply stating that they were relatively well funded (in such a risky business) is noted as well.
@David_Edgrrr @SputzeeD@ooblets For a 2 person indie team, getting publisher money (and of course publishers want to give as little as possible), and a good amount of monthly patreon money is being pretty well funded.
Your assumption that I've never worked in gamedev or the software industry is noted.
@ooblets Working in an industry when you hold so much contempt for the community is not a healthy way to live.
I still believe that #GamersAreGood. There will always be some extremists in most communities. It is wrong, and we should all speak out against hate and extremism.
@ooblets May I also suggest therapy? You shouldn't try to deal with this on your own.
On top of that, you work in the game business and you show a lot of contempt for the gaming community, despite that community supporting your development for years, while not asking for anything.
