Have to say @KarlenePetitt I am very disappointed that you, a fellow professional pilot, is challenging the airline concerned in this accident to publicly announce the training records of the two pilots involved. Firstly, this is personal information which the airline should only make available to the investigators. Secondly, it would set a dreadful precedent. Thirdly it is effectively stating at this very early stage that you believe the accident was somehow caused by lack of training and/or experience of the pilots involved.
This is exactly the kind of online ‘accident investigation’ which I and most of my colleagues consistently ask people to ignore and not take part in. There are official investigators who are specifically tasked with determining what happened here and how we can all learn from it to try and make sure it doesn’t happen again. This has been the accident investigation protocol which has been in place for decades and for very good reason. It means experienced accident investigation professionals, with access to ALL the necessary information, can work out exactly what happened. That includes pilot training records, aircraft maintenance records and access to the FDR and CVR. Anyone who doesn’t have access to all this information and isn’t there, on the ground and part of the team should not be attempting to do the same and certainly shouldn’t be stating their assumptions on a public forum.
@on_lothianbuses One of your buses has just pulled right up against us and hit our car and wiped our wing mirror off in Gorgie about 15 minutes ago. Who do I contact about this?
@British_Airways Since nobody can seem to reply to any of the messages I have left or answer my phone calls - can I ask is anyone going to take responsibility for the lack of basic human provisions provided for BA598 on the 9/6/23 that diverted to Verona? 1/2
AKA: 1 toilet to be shared between approximately 900 other passengers, no water or food given, a 3 hour false promise of onward transport for you to then turn around at 1:30am in the morning and tell us no transport would be coming and it was now our own responsibility 2/3
@DaveDogecoin@SeanM1997 A bit ironic given you “advertise” just that in your bio/tagline? Inclusivity and support from an airline with a long history of just that doesn’t equate to advertising.
@LucaEGKK@British_Airways Not even surprising, kept invoices for literally EVERYTHING and I’ll fight but thank god we had contingency money otherwise we’d have been sleeping on the Italian streets for 2 days thanks to BA.
@British_Airways Currently stuck at Verona airport after our flight BA598 to Venice was diverted. There is no member of BA related staff here other than the crew and a promise of “coaches, if and when they come” - is there anyone able to advise on this?
