WE DID IT!!!!! ALGOLOCK has been activated on the DigiByte blockchain! Goodbye Groestl!
The $DGB blockchain has been fully stabilized! Watch Groestl disappear here over the next hour: https://t.co/WfCXw2bWyl
Great news!
It looks like progress is being made. @Mining_Dutch appears to be preparing a dedicated v9 Scrypt pool, which is an important step toward protecting the DigiByte network while supporting a smooth transition. 🙌
A huge thank you to Mining Dutch for working with the community, and to everyone who reached out respectfully and constructively. This is what open-source collaboration is all about.

After feedback from several mining pools, and numerous requests from $DGB node runners we are testing a #DigiDollar compatible pruned core wallet .
Please help us test Pruning, if you run a mining pool even better.

$DGB v9.26.3 #DigiDollar is here! Let's get everyone upgraded!
In this video I break down Groestl mining, how Digidollar activation process works & what happened the last 72 hours.
Thank you all for coming together! Let's get everyone upgraded in the next 6 days!
If you were having sync issues on v9.26.2 now $DGB v9.26.3 is here to fix that!
This the full #DigiDollar release that also fixes an algo issue.

Please help us message / email your favorite mining pool & exchanges to upgrade their $DGB Core wallet. Here is a draft message to use:
Subject: Urgent DigiByte Core v9.26.2 Upgrade Required
Hi,
DigiByte Core v9.26.2 has been released and all mining pools, exchanges, explorers, wallets, and infrastructure providers should upgrade ASAP.
This release fixes an active mining issue involving the retired Groestl algorithm. DigiByte still uses its normal five mining algorithms, and v9.26.2 adds a hard rejection rule for retired/unknown algorithms.
Important:
• Upgrade to DigiByte Core v9.26.2 as soon as possible.
• There is roughly a 7-day upgrade window before the enforcement backstop activates at block 23,808,000.
• If you are running DigiByte Core v7.17.3 or older, you will need to reindex or fully resync after upgrading so your node follows the correct unified chain.
• Mining pools should update immediately and ensure they are using the block version returned by Core.
• Exchanges and custodians should upgrade infrastructure and monitor deposits during the network upgrade window.

Thank you for helping keep DigiByte secure and stable. DigiDollar is also included in this v9 release, so this is an important upgrade for the whole DigiByte blockchain ecosystem.
DigiByte: The Groestl $DGB Mining Incident and the v9.26.2 Fix
A plain-language explainer for the DigiByte community, miners, pools, and exchanges:
Someone used AI to analyze DigiByte's consensus code and discovered they could still mine blocks with Groestl — one of DigiByte's old, retired mining algorithms — because of a safety check that went missing during the v8 code rebase in 2021/2022.
DigiByte is supposed to run 5 mining algorithms. Starting 2026-06-28 at 16:40:05 UTC (block 23,751,096), it was effectively running a 6th (Groestl) that was retired back in 2019 and should no longer be accepted.
This did not steal anyone's coins and did not reverse confirmed transactions.
But it destabilized the network and caused it to split: some software accepted the Groestl blocks and some rejected them, so different nodes and explorers ended up on different versions of the chain.
The fix is v9.26.2. It permanently stops new Groestl (and any other retired/unknown algorithm) blocks, while keeping existing chain history intact so nobody's transactions are reversed. Everyone needs to upgrade to v9.26.2 for the network to heal back into
one chain.

Everyone keeps looking at DigiByte like it’s “just another crypto.”
But what happens if DigiDollar actually proves a decentralized collateralized stablecoin model at scale?
You’re suddenly talking about a blockchain ecosystem capable of supporting enormous amounts of transparent digital liquidity without relying on traditional banking structures.
That’s much bigger than most people realize.
#DigiByte 💙
Someone used advanced AI to bring DigiByte's retired mining algo Groestl back to life.
$DGB use 5 algos; now has 6 in a failed 51%.
There has been chain turbulence. DigiShield kicked in to protect the chain.
Fix coming in v9.26.2 DigiDollar!
🇪🇸 Accepting $DGB payments in Spain?
Building with crypto is easier when compliance isn't an afterthought.
As the regulatory landscape evolves under MiCA, businesses accepting DigiByte need a clear framework for tax reporting and compliance. That's why we've partnered with @getkoinx to create a practical Crypto Compliance Checklist for the @DigiByteCoin ecosystem.
Focus on growing your business while staying compliant!

OKX has also suspended DGB deposits and withdrawals. Could this be a precautionary measure following the recently defended 51% attack attempt? I was able to withdraw from https://t.co/uY7BIztR6s without issue. $DGB
🚀 Grand Pool for @DigiByteCoin now supports #DigiDollar mining — we've implemented full coinbase oracle commitment integration, validated on testnet26, and we're ready to mine the first DD-bearing blocks the moment BIP9 activates on mainnet.

$DGB Fam. I have supported a number of you through the years after having your Digibyte stolen.
I'm now building that capability within Panopticon, automating that tracking process and producing a report to file with authorities.
While it is not institutional grade yet, the basic structure is ready to go. I'll have the rest of it fine tuned within a couple of weeks.
Feel free to utilize it in advance of that just to see the outputs and give me additional test scenarios, but I have to charge for the deep scan because there is real token cost. https://t.co/qrkJjhgaXs
Just did multiple 24 wave, multi hour security audits with GTP5.5 on xhigh for $DGB DigiDollar on TestNet & it found nothing.
That's the 5th run this week & we haven't found any issues w/ RC45. RC46 coming soon will be the final RC & be used to generate MainNet Oracle keys! 🚀🚀
