Hey @BBCSport are you aware @TomEvansUltra just won @wser (one of the biggest ultra running races)? First Brit to win it too. Might be news, not sure.

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@mikepb78 @awscloud What are your thoughts on custom runtimes and docker images?

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@palmsquirrel Lol good to see retirement lasted. 😉

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@NIDeveloper I suspect AWS won’t feel the brunt of this but rather those who are already financially pressured.

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

Oh course @maryannehobbs drops RATM early doors! @BBC6Music #TShirtDay

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@brucelittle Congrats and well done!

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@jonbonso There is one in Cardiff oddly. Worth a visit next time I’m there?

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@rothgar @patrickdebois The platform team thing just reminds of the mainframe days but for distributed. 🎶 The circle of life!🎶

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@jordansissel Grab a copy of Training Essentials for Ultrarunning by Jason Koop.

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

So @Babybel given the wax coating already protects the cheese why can’t we just drop the plastic wrapper? Seems a little wasteful just for branding purposes.

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@jordansissel Ultra running; where throwing up doesn’t raise eyebrows. First ultra booked for March. 🥺

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@BritishGasHelp DM sent thanks.

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

Hey @BritishGasHelp you customer onboarding experience is a dumpster fire. You have sent me a bill yet I can't create an account online so call. Upon calling I end up getting hung up on having failed to talk to someone. I assume you want my money but your making it hard!

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

Hey @OrdnanceSurvey loving my online subject. I have a couple of feature requests which people might find useful. What's the best way to submit them?

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@danthemyth @caseyrosenthal Connected via Escon?

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@QuinnyPig @Life_Alert I agree on this point re Python. The best solution I have found for this is Poetry which takes some of the pain out of this.

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

Can we please stop trying to solve everything with more JavaScript? Like how many other better languages has comp sci given you and you still pick JavaScript? What dirt do they have on you?

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

@iam_Tessot You smashed it mate. Great talk and demo. 😃

[Russell Whelan @Photosojourn]

Genuine question: For public cloud when is K8s the right answer over other options? I struggle to see them.
