@erraticusfinch@william_lou Its bad. I don't think it was malicious but a bad challenge none the less. You could tell the Qatari player felt sick after.
@LachInTheCrease Bad challenge but not malicious. There were worse in this match to be honest. Horrible result for Konรฉ but the Qatari player looked sick to see the injury. Shame that the Qatari side reacted as they did afterwards.
Going to repost this to extend that the only reason we get to enjoy being a host country is because of immigration. My entire life in Toronto and the collective joy and comraderie I've witnessed throughout the years is second to none. Football makes the world better.
Hey racists/anti-immigrants that are always crying โgo back to your country,โ
7 of the 9 goals in Canadian World Cup history has come from an immigrant/child of immigrants:
Alphonso Davies: Liberian (born in a refugee camp in Ghana)
Cyle Larin: Jamaican
Jonathan David: Haitian (born in Brooklyn)
William Saliba: Haitian-Lebanese
Sam Adekugbe (he did not score a goal, but forced an own goal vs Morocco back in 2022): Nigerian (born in London, UK)
If youโre enjoying this success Canada is having lately, a large part of it is because of immigration.
