My life growing up was like the above, but "road trips" were driving to out of state family, and we didn't do the overseas thing

@Evie4Freedom I think a lot of people, when presented with a person who makes different life choices, sees that as an indictment of the decisions they made for their life.

For many, having kids wasn't a decision, but a given. A choice otherwise probably feels like a criticism.
