Ok UK science peeps...how does one go about doing a physics PhD, many years after leaving Uni with a good MPhys degree. Any thoughts appreciated!

@OliverJia1014 Would you say in general that Japan makes it harder to get a PhD to completion than other Western countries? Higher standards (maybe too high?)?

Wish someone would make a proper userguide or twitter thread on it for beginners.

I just use wanikani, seems infinitely better.

@treyhunner I've spent a long time learning python, yet I've no idea what this means. So depressing.

Truly the hardest part of programming is figuring out what and how all the installation stuff works, rather than actual coding. 🙁

@s_gruppetta_ct @anze3db Pretty much all on both. Think Halo is Xbox only, and a v small handful might be PS only? But negligible.

You'll not go wrong with either, I have PS5, think generally it's generally a little more popular than Xbox, really is excellent...do it!

Only 2 ways to arrange the shapes, mirror images of each other.

A: 2 of T-shapes have black on the right
B: 2 T-shapes have black in middle
C: Both have T-shape with 2 black squares
E: 2 T-shapes have black in middle

Luckily I passed my Oxford entrance exams years ago 😎

@mattleifer @TonyTheLion2500 Seconded...had this book from the start of undergrad, still pull it out today.

Just study physics and deal with the maths that comes up as you go along.
