@abhishekaitc is being called for alleged signature forgery case & media is drum beating on that to only make us forget about many serious corruption cases against him where ED & CBI are investigating the cases. No ED & CBI notices to him for appearing for those cases .
My first interview with Anandabazar Digital
After the elections, Bengal’s political equations have been shifting rapidly. I discussed exactly that — the current crisis in Trinamool Congress, the loopholes in the anti-defection law, and the growing speculation about a possible alliance or merger with Congress. What does the legal and political future look like? And what tough choices lie ahead for Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee?
This was my first appearance as a political analyst on Anandabazar’s platform. Do watch it when you have time and let me know how it felt!

@SushmitaDev25 an old @INCIndia turned TMC just following the ways @MamataOfficial set once.Ex Bengal CM met her Assam counterpart on July 13, 2022. On July 21, TMC officially declared not to support Margaret Alva, INC candidate for Vice President. @RahulGandhi hope you remember
@INCIndia@kharge@SachinPilot@RahulGandhi ji trusting Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee, remember that they did not support Margaret Alva in the Vice-Presidential election. Mamata Banerjee has also repeatedly spoken positively about the RSS and the BJP leadership in Delhi.
The most interesting point is permission by Delhi police to hold protest & not preventing Abhijeet Dipke from entering India. Is the process of making new Anna Hazare on going ? That time destabilising @INCIndia was the purpose. This time ?
Time to keep fingers crossed.

“Mamata’s Crisis Is Mamata”
The rebellion within the Trinamool Congress is not an obituary for Mamata Banerjee. It is a mirror.
My argument is simple: power does not breed loyalty; it attracts beneficiaries.
When power weakens, the contradictions beneath the surface become visible. The 58-MLA revolt is therefore not really against Mamata Banerjee. It is against the political order that emerged under her leadership.
As I write in the piece, “The rebellion is not an obituary but a harsh mirror.” In searching for the real TMC, Mamata Banerjee must first confront how far her own creation has drifted from its origins.

TMC & its leader Mamata Banerjee have suffered their biggest setback today at the hands of a trojan horse.
This is what I had written in my reportage from 2021 elections in West Bengal.
TMC's dominance was contingent on its dominance.

Before making any irresponsible comment on Osman Hadi assassination , ex CM of WB @MamataOfficial must remember the oath of secrecy she once took for her good office. Foreign affairs shouldn't be used for petty political gains.
The TMC is shattering in Bengal. If the current trend continues, the party as we know it may effectively collapse by the Budget Session of the West Bengal Assembly beginning around June 18.
A point often missed: people say Mamata Banerjee lost control of the organisation because of Abhishek Banerjee’s rise. That is only partly true. Before Abhishek, it was Mukul Roy who ran the organisation. Complaints existed even then that leaders and workers struggled to reach Mamata without crossing Mukul. The difference was that Mukul Roy was a founding member who built the party from the ground up and earned his position through organisation-building. Abhishek never emerged from that route.
The second development is more significant. After the expulsion of MLAs Ritabrata Banerjee and Sandeep Saha, several TMC MLAs reportedly met at Kolkata’s Vivanta Hotel. Watch this space carefully. A possible scenario is that more than 30 MLAs break away and claim to be the “real TMC,” giving them enough numbers to seek recognition and stake a claim over the Opposition space in the Assembly.
Such a development would suit the BJP. Completely destroying the TMC could push Bengal’s opposition space toward the Left and Congress. Instead, the BJP’s strategic interest may lie in the emergence of a rival TMC faction—one that carries the opposition label but distances itself from the corruption allegations associated with Mamata and Abhishek Banerjee.
The BJP understands that while Mamata Banerjee is weakened, keeping her as the undisputed face of opposition politics in Bengal may not serve its long-term interests. Her political history shows that underestimating her ability to reinvent herself can be a costly mistake.
In Bengal , Shinde model is being repeated. But all of us have our misplaced attention on Shinde Bhau's decoy 😀 Meanwhile the real Shinde Bhau is in the party, brokering for his safe passage through corruption & money laundering cases .
