Sigh...I know why it is, but it's just disappointing that bluer light bulbs are considered "cooler" than yellower bulbs. We already use Kelvin to reference a black-body spectrum. 2850 K is not cooler than 2700 K. (Sorry I couldn't find a really "cool" bulb.)
@RorySmith I am enjoying your piece in today's Times but I think the claim: "No team from outside Europe has won the World Cup since 2002; that Brazil victory was the only break in a run of European success that dates to 1990." is unfair to Brazil in 1994.
With the passing of Murray Gell-Mann, I've been trying to fully wrap my head around all of his contributions to particle physics. His role in the developing the quark model is really the genesis of my research today.
