SENTENCE
Sentencing her to a 13-month custodial term, Judge Garrett Byrne said: “You seem incapable or unwilling to contain your rage and frustration with the world. You only have yourself to blame for the position you find yourself in.
“You took out your frustration on your own dog. That dog was terrified and curled up in a ball.

Well we fault a good fight, we fought with everything we had but it just wasn't enough. I knew when I got up this morning he wasn't going to make it. About 20 minutes ago he laid on my chest looked up at me and faintly cried out his last goodbye. Little buddy went over the🌈😭💔
Another witch hunt by media, because he exposes things that the sheep believe from government manipulation. Why all of a sudden is this all highlighted? Make your own judgement!!
I watched the Channel 4 documentary on Russell Brand. All highly suspect.
I know if I pitched an idea for an inflammatory documentary to a TV company and said all the main contributors were going to be anonymous with their faces in shadow or played by actors, I’d have the idea flung back in my face.
The stories told may or may not be true but trial by TV is never fair.
Whether he’s guilty or not, this film is clearly a hit piece. A neatly orchestrated attack. Brand is getting too popular, is way too ‘over target’ and has to be removed.
And this is how they do it.
Every year we are forced to put dogs to sleep on the instruction of a court who have never harmed anyone because of the Dangerous Dogs Act. We would hate to see another breed added to this outdated Act.

May was one of two dogs we rescued in memory of Marshall & Millions. Now the media has turned against XL bullies in a campaign which sees the already critical problem in dog rescue escalate and result in unbelievable numbers losing their young lives.
May was on her last day in the pound before euthanasia – not even a year old.
We knew May was deaf but in all the training and rehab of this young girl we have been confused by her reactions to light specifically. After a few weeks she went to stay with Em at Rescue World which helped reduce the stimulation around her, and where she became best friends with Bug. Having had brain MRI’s on the advice of dog trainers and vets at huge expense, we asked our wonderful friend Charlene from @HayloftPetServices to take her for a two week residential assessment.
A huge fan of the bullies Charlene’s set up is perfect for May with secure paddocks, an agility field, beautiful walks and lots of interaction every day but also a peaceful, calm environment on her grounds. This mix of being able to drain her energy and spend quality time with May is the key to understanding her better with the goal is to work out how we can best help her. To this end Charlene is taking her to see one of the best eye vets in the country next week as her eyes appear to have some irregularities.
We are so grateful to Charlene for helping May at short notice. She has fallen in love with her and its clear from the photos the feeling is mutual. It is magical watching May having the best holiday of her life, and we are learning more about her every day.
Once we commit to a dog we do whatever is necessary to ensure that dog receives the best life and will do whatever they need. Each dog is different so why do a breed get tarred with the same brush? May just wants to feel safe and loved and be free from fear and pain (as all dogs do). She made friends with all the workmen at Rescue World stealing their hearts and some of their lunches.
We hope she can have a bright future even with her new doggles if needed so are keeping everything crossed now for the eye vets report.
We need to be the defence for these bullied dogs now more than ever. We wouldn’t write off a race or country of people for the actions of a small number of people – so why would we do it with a dog?
