A day well spent with my long-time mentor, Dr. Zakari Usman. Our journey started years ago when he was first appointed as the Chief Medical Director of the Kogi State Hospital Management Board. His leadership and dedication to improving healthcare led to his appointment as the Commissioner for Health, Kogi State—where we collaborated on multiple impactful projects.

Years later, our shared passion for innovative healthcare solutions still brings us together, and I’m excited about what’s ahead with Partners in Health Nigeria (PIHC) where he is currently the chief of party.
