@Arkypatriot Thats because all those "southern boys" in their 4 wheel drives have them set up for mudding and as pavement princesses. Men from western Pennsylvania to the Cascade range in Washington set their 4 wheel drives up for snow, rocks and debris. π
@ElieJarrougeMD My trigger food for gout was asparagus and eating too much broccoli in a week.
I loved fried/roasted asparagus but if I have 1-2 servings, within 48hrs, I feel the gout coming on in my big left toe.
@Orangefan27@BiggestComeback@USDA The entire purpose of a ketogenic lifestyle is to manage insulin which governors fat gain and energy. Controlling insulin is the key and that has nothing to do with calories.
@Orangefan27@BiggestComeback@USDA Im sorry but what you eat matters so much more than how much. I did CiCo with the help of a nutritionist years ago. It was miserable because it never addressed the underlying issue of food addiction or satiety.
Only a ketogenic lifestyle has done that.
@BiggestComeback@paulcdobbs Holy smokes, I never thought of that either. Thank god we dont have any food products in our system that has been engineered to be addictive. If we did, that might throw off that entire suggestion...π

@Orangefan27@BiggestComeback That assumes all calories are equal and they are not. 500 calories from ground beef react differently than 500 calories from a bagel does.
That doesnt even account for the +/-20% variation in "calories" listed on the label allowed but the @USDA
