Hi Clare @PearsonTeachEng please would it be possible to provide the ISBN number for the version of King Lear that the students will use in their A Level Literature exam, so that we encourage students to purchase the correct edition?
@AjaCortizo @missdcox Exam command words often have completely different meanings in each subject -analyse, discuss, evaluate-show & describe are such interesting examples to look at across subjects. You can see why students get confused on how to answer a question using one of those command words.
It was a pleasure presenting with you @mc34cm & learning about how to develop students' emotional understanding of texts & create reservoirs of empathy. We look forward to working with you again soon on a cultural literacy and teaching podcast. @GLFSchools@Glynspire@MrsCookEng
@MrAldersonTeach@thecockerill Have you created a model of progression? We have a curriculum map and rationale and we are now wanting to make a detailed model of progression. I am trying to gather a range of examples and approaches so I am interested in how other schools are approaching theirs?
Thank you so much to @PickenRachel and @MrsCookEng for hosting us at their annual @GLFSchools English Teachmeet last night. Looking forward to building the relationship between GLF and SSF!
Countdown until next Monday's GLF English TeachMeet. We have goody bags kindly gifted from @tes @TesResources @Tes_English and @twinklresources and several brilliant speakers presenting on Learning and Teaching, challenge and academic writing. Register at Eventbrite for tickets.
@HeyMrsClark@PhilippaStrange Oh course Aureus are invited, we would love them to come but we understand travelling to Surrey on a Monday afternoon/ evening would be tricky!
I echo @D_M_Calvin @glynschoolepsom is an inspirational and supportive school for colleagues and students. Come and join the English department. @Team_English1
