@KoolZeroHero@fopminui @Morbidful I don’t know who’s doing a 10 mile convoy but whatever it was must’ve been thousands of bikers that purposely put gaps in the formation for you to merge into to make your turn. Maybe you just weren’t paying attention enough to it and were too busy being annoyed.
@thatcroc@Truthdnl@fopminui @Morbidful A lot of these rides are long distance rides. So you’ll see mostly Harley touring bikes which go from 20k to 45k then after all the accessories and riding gear added (all weather, leathers, helmet, comms, GPS, CB, saddlebags, etc.) 50k isn’t far off. I’d say average is 35-40k.
@KoolZeroHero@fopminui @Morbidful I do a ride like this every year. OP isn’t saying you can’t pass the group or anything like that, he’s giving a PSA so people don’t get frustrated and try to take it out on the riders. There are gaps in formations so you can change lanes/exit the highway. Don’t cut off bikers.
@Skalidan_@VerylasImmortal @dvdchan1 @OmarHassenCTID@Dexerto@CookSux In some countries offering cash like that is extremely insulting though. I was in Brazil, my friends wanted to play volleyball, we tried offering a guy $20 to borrow a volleyball and one of the English speakers came over to explain it’s incredibly rude to wave money around
@DanielH21775993 @jr_bendy@mrpaulgriffis1@KozyHailey@donald_trump_47 [4/4]So TL;DR: he pays his “fair share”, the stats that say he isn’t are conflated by taking his overall wealth gained instead of actual income, and there is no wealthy tax “loophole”.
@DanielH21775993 @jr_bendy@mrpaulgriffis1@KozyHailey@donald_trump_47 [3/4] encouraged to take loans from the bank and invest their own cash. The investor takes all the risk in this “loophole” because if their investments flop, they are in huge debt to the bank.
@JavierT86677870@LetsBCivil@JustNGthrift@MATropea@LiIiannaaa@elonmusk Did you actually read that article? Or just copy and paste the first article that came up from your Google scholar search? It has nothing to do with the law field nor the pharmaceutical field. And yes, I agree we should stop buying products based solely on someone’s skin color.
@potnoodlenawank@quantumcounsel@benshapiro .. it’s down 23% over the past year, the 0.55% you’re referring to is the status line from where his cursor is on vs where it currently is. It’s dropped $43 from $183 where it was this time last year.
@GiveEmHellHorns @LennonHenaff @willieckerslike@stephenlondoner@visegrad24 Look through the art of war. When your men are backed into a corner, they fight harder than those with options. If you also didn’t see the two Russian military members that were captured and questioned, they didn’t even realize they were invading Ukraine until the day of.
@bigguypolitics@ScrewAmber@hayve90@gram_parker @kkerk13 @kcashoz@benshapiro [2/2] So either, it’s a horrible product because few citizens use it for its intended purpose, or it’s been repurposed and that’s how the majority of people see it. It has multiple purposes, you can’t justify against something when what you’re arguing is the marginal case.
@bigguypolitics@ScrewAmber@hayve90@gram_parker @kkerk13 @kcashoz@benshapiro [1/2]So by your logic, whatever a tool is designed for, the majority of people use it that way. The majority of car owners use cars for travel; thus, the majority of firearm owners kill? No, very few purchase firearms with an intent to kill.
@bigguypolitics@ScrewAmber@hayve90@gram_parker @kkerk13 @kcashoz@benshapiro [2/2]A car is a tool as well meant to get someone from point A to point B. But people also use them for sport, collecting, hurting others, maybe even a getaway car. So, firearms may be used to stop a threat, but they are also used for sport, collecting, and peace of mind.
@bigguypolitics@ScrewAmber@hayve90@gram_parker @kkerk13 @kcashoz@benshapiro [1/2]The purpose of a firearm from a self defense standpoint is to stop the threat. By phrasing it the way you do you make the assumption that gun owners purchase firearms with the intent on killing. But to assume someone will only use a tool for one purpose is naive.
@bigguypolitics@gram_parker @kkerk13 @kcashoz@benshapiro The study also notes that results are skewed since most of their cases were “At the time of shooting…also significantly more often involved with alcohol and drugs” and “uneducated”. So a well educated, unimpaired person has a higher chance of defending themself.
@bigguypolitics@gram_parker @kkerk13 @kcashoz@benshapiro As for your self defense shooting claims… here. 60,000 to 2.5 million defensive firearm uses per year. No clue where you got that .029% bs https://t.co/MNvjqBvkAW
